“We love seafood and we went back to Mr.99 and it was again faboules.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012

To be frank it is not easy for us to go to this restauatnt because they have no parking but we went to cetal shopping and just walked ver which takes about 5 minutes to walk. Central is on so 9 and Mr.99 is on soi 7 about 200 meters apart. Central is ok for shopping and people watxhin but not for good food and certainly not a place for finding a seaood place. So we walked over to Mr.99 and we had yet again a fantatsic seafood and steak dinner with ocean views and good atmospehere. They also have a good band playing great music. The place was packed with tons of people but itis a big retaurant and we received a tbale...luckily in the front next to the beach road. This place is very livly and super for poeple watching, and thebhave a dance floor and farnag were dancing...nice! We ordered grilled tiger prawns and they were huge...4 pice tothe kilo! We laos, oredered sashimi salmon (super fresh and as good as in any Japanese outlet) and fresh oysters as well as tenderloin steak from Canada...ot was so tender. We go back there again as we figured out free parking at central shopping. :-)

“"Mr. 99" Going from Strength-to-Strenth”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

Braving the heavy rains, during our last weekend visit to Pattaya, we finally made our way to one of our most favorite restaurants in this city.
The thing we like most about "Mr. 99" is the fact that it is open-air and right across the road from the beach & ocean. Lovely breeze in combination with great and entertaining music.
Still; one can carry-on a conversation, since the music played are mostly 'golden-oldies' and not "Techno" stuff.
The food choice is enormous and yet I always order a side-dish of their delicious German sausages ! !
The prices are more than reasonable; the service is mostly very good and the whole combination of Food; Ambiance & Live-Tunes always makes for a very very pleasant evening out.
Wish we had one of these in Bangkok !

“Always a total pleasure to dine and be entertained at Mr.99...funny name but unique!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

We always have a all of a good time at Mr.99 which is a funny name but when I finally asked they told me the name comes from the fact that the eatery opened in 1999 and that they use it as a good luck sort of name as the number 99 is a lucky number in Thailand.
The food is exceptionally good and soils the service and the super music by the Philipino band! Try the tenderloin steak which is imported from Canada...out of this world tender and tasty. The pan fried seabass in Caper butter is also totally delicious and so tender....the portions are huge. The drinks are also very well sized and do try their caraf sized cocktails...we love the "blue-frozen-kamikaze" ...super and it has a nice kick to it. Also very nice is the "Mango Tango" smoothie which can be ordered with or without Booz and it is made from fresh Mango! The location is great...right on the corner of beach road and Soi 7 ...only about 200 meters from the Cental shopping center. Mr.99 is Highly recommendable and we will be back!

“Over rated Over Priced”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

We could have struck a bad night but the service was absolutely abyssmal. None of the staff speak or understand English beyong hello or goodbye, I ordered a "Spider crab" - what Australians would know as a mud crab. It was so small - under 500g - it was impossible to get the meat out. Blink and the staff are trying to take your unfinished meal away. No entertainment on a Monday night, contrary to the tourist brochure and other Trip Advisor reviews. My wife had a lobster dish which she said was quite enjoyable. I should have had the steak!

“Good Food and Great Value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

Mr 99 is a slightly rowdy restaurant due to being directly on the Beach Road but its has some of the best food in Pattaya, a very varied menu and live music. The food is excellent as is the service if you are into Hip Hop or Rap then the 2 piece group may not be to your taste but I though they were great. I recommend the grilled PorK neck, portions are good.
Just one thing to mention there isn't any air conditioning over overhead fans so make sure you get a table under one of these.
