“Enjoyable Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2013

Overall this is a pretty good place to stay. They serve a welcoming drink on arrival and worked quickly to get us checked in. The breakfast was excellent and the pool was nice. The rooms are modern and clean. The bed was comfortable which is always a plus. The hotel is located nicely and many attractions are within walking distance. They arranged for us a sitter which was very nice. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. Wifi is free but limited to 2 devices. Hotel doesn't have much of a view as the room balconies face a large wall.

Room Tip: Try to get a room closer to the lobby as we were the farthest away and had some construction noise d...

We checked in as a group in the first week of this month, the location is very convenient and allows you to walk to most attractions around, they also give bicycles for guests to use and the staff is courteous and helping, the rooms were clean and spacious and modern in design but the finishing could have been better. The breakfast was good with a right mix and not too elaborate to confuse you, service at breakfast was good.It was a small hotel, so not very crowded at the lobby, could not check out the Gym and pool but they looked decent.

I've stayed here the second time and they did not fail to disappoint me. The staff are very courteous, polite and really go out of the way to make your stay comfortable. The rooms are modern, plush and clean. The staff take care of the little things which make the difference. The location is great too, in close proximity to the beach and a few malls.

Room Tip: Book a trek to the "Flight of the Gibbon" from the hotel and have the long island ice tea

We booked our stay trough booking.com and found out on The 1st night that D'suite number 5015 is the worst of the rooms. Why, because its windows are directed to the main road where bands play lound live music until 3 am. Last night I heard 'Hotel California' been played like 6 times.

It is impossible To sleep while band is playing.

As Hotel is full, there is nothing We can ask from the management.

At the pool, some of the chairs are directly under the coconut trees so falling coconuts might hit somebody in the head. We told this To the pool guy, but nothing happened.

In two minds about this place - both great and awful.

The staff here is outstanding. Everyone we met were smiling, polite and helpful. From the security guy via the breakfast staff to check-in and concierge. Selection at breakfast very comprehensive.

The "deluxe" room is the worst I've ever stayed in. No storage whatsoever, so you'll be living out of your suitcase. Too bad there is only one suitcase stand. The sink, shower and toilet are practically in the middle of the room, only partitioned off by glass walls. Probably what caused the strong smell of mold. Air conditioner aimed directly at bed, blowing straight at me all night. Bed has a huge, bizarre wrap around headboard, forcing you to leave glasses, books, ipads or whatever at the foot of your bed, where you may easily step on it. Of course no sideboards for the bed. Would have been unreachable anyway.

After one night with no sleep at all because of the A/C, we got a good deal on an upgrade to the duplex suite. Much better, but the same weird bed. Jacuzzi just behind the bed. Why? Switches for lights all over the place, with little logic to what they controlled. Very little storage space, but more than the deluxe room. The two bathrooms had washing basins, but nowhere to hang towels. As if to mock guests. TV signals blurry.

The pool is ok, but only gets sun until ≈2 in the afternoon. But since the local beaches are useless (seating more cramped than short-haul economy flights), Pattaya is not for sun-seekers anyway. Nor families, couples, or anyone sane, sober and decent.

In my humble opinion they should force whatever idiot designed this place to spend a week in the deluxe room. Perhaps that would push some change towards user friendly rooms.

Room Tip: If you're forced to stay here, get the duplex.

The hotel is modern design, unique and chic style. Room is quite old and not clean.
Room amenities are simple and not good. The buffet breakfast was okay like 3 star hotel.
Spa's design very good. Hotel's location not near Pattaya beach, can't see the sea.

This hotel doesn't look like any other I've seen. It is a nautical theme which goes from the reception area through to the rooms. We were met at the door by very attentive and friendly staff, check in proceeded smoothly, sitting away from the reception desk, while having a cold drink. Then to the room, tastefully decorated, but an unusual layout with the bed in the middle of the room. All furnishings were comfortable, bed, lounge, leather chair at the desk behind the bed. Our package had breakfast included, which had a wide range to suit most tastes. The quality was good. We also had an 'Evening delight box' in which the housekeeping staff would include a small gift and post cards with saying or suggestions that guest could do in the coming days. The bed was also turned down at this time if we weren't in the room. The hotel is close to the beach, bars and attractions. I would definitely stay again when in Pattaya
