This is our second time at The Dusit Thani, the first time being 6 years ago. We were worried that it might have gone downhill a little but were very pleasantly surprised to find it had been refurbished to a very high standard. The service was still the same, fabulous. Food is first class, pools are amazing. We had initially booked 11 nights at the hotel and then we were stranded for 11 days due to the PAD taking over the airports, the Thai government covered the hotel costs and full board for the additional 11 nights. The hotel staff still treated us with the same courtesy as paying guests. FANTASTIC

I spent 5 nights at the Dusit Thani, I last stayed there in 2006 for 2 weeks.

The hotel was still as lovely as ever, there was a small amount of building work going on but we knew that in advance.

This hotel has beautiful well kept grounds, all around the hotel is completely immaculate.

We stayed in a Superior Garden view room. This was very spacious and the balcony had a nice view of the gardens and a side view pf one of the pools and the sea.

Did I mention the fabulous waterfall and garden in the main reception - wow !!

We stayed at the Dusit Thani, Pattaya for 13 days this October ( 2008).After reading some reviews here it was debatable whether we went ahead with the booking as some were inconclusive and others great. We did some more research and opted for the "great"reviews. Very happy to say we did.
The hotel location is stunning ( 1 review said the location was horrible - he must have been in another country). Vast panoramic views overlooking the whole of Pattaya Bay and Beach and the lights of the City at night all along the beachfront.
While it is at the northern end of Pattaya Bay, that suited us fine. It was a quiet relaxed location but with everything at your fingertips.
We were away from all the hustle and bustle of the stip proper, but a Baht Bus ride along the beachfront for 10 Baht was very convenient. Same back to the hotel.
Facilities, pools ( 3) swim up bar, restaurants in the hotel were terrific. We upgraded to the Dusit Club level and again that was fabulous. Complementary drinks from 5.30pm. in the evening with nibblies until 7.30pm. Nice lounge & great service with again great views over the bay.
Rooms were very comfortable, clean and well attended to. We even had an outside shower on our balcony with 2 sunbeds.
If you wanted to stay in the hotel for the duration well that is easily done, no need to venture outside for anything. However we did, shopping was great, marginally dearer than Bangkok, but then that's where the goods come from. So a small markup isn't a problem.
Despite reports of Pattaya being Sin City, clearly it is changing but the "sin" adds to the buzz. Never at anytime did we feel threatened, it was a cool, casual place to stay and I will return to the Dusit Thani with pleasure. A memorable and relaxed holiday break from work. (We do run a resort ourselves andgive the Dusit top marks, location,amenities, service, everything!)

We have just returned from a three week stay at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Pattaya where we had an absolutely wonderful holiday. The staff and management at the Dusit are the best in the world with nothing ever being too much trouble. Facilities on the eighth floor are fabulous and they make you feel like royalty. I would like to point out that all rooms in the Dusit are NON SMOKING and ashtrays are only for use on the balcony. The smoking rules are now very clear in Thailand and they have adopted similar rulings to the UK. The Dusit Thani hotel in Pattaya is completely NON SMOKING. If you want spoiling then take a visit to this excellent establishment.
