Loved these bungalows. They were spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable. The rooms haev all the amenities you need including beach towels. The outdoor showers were a nice surprise. THe staff are all very friendly. At reception they gave us all the information we needed. You can also rent a mortorbike with no problem. The best part about the bungalows is theey are quiet - no bars or loud music. The beach "Silver beach" is also on a quieter part of Samui but has lovely white sand and soem snorkelling -definately worth it to relax.

THe restaurant is excellent- breakfast is included and there are many options. Other meals were delicious and very cheap- 80 THB for Pad thai etc.

The location is more remote but renting a mortorbike is easy. You can actually walk to lamai from here- it only took us about 20 minutes.

This hotel was everything we hoped for and our stay here was perfect. The hotel is situated in a quiet part of Koh Samui, away from the crazy hassle and bustle of Chawang beach. The beach was never crowded, there was always plenty of room to sunbath and it was beautiful location.
We stayed in the beach front villa and it was as it described, right on the beach. Literally about 3 steps on the grass garden to the beach. The front of the villa faces the beach and so the view, while laying on our porch loungers was wonderful.
The room was extremely comfortable, with the bed giving us a wonderful nights sleep. The outside toilet and shower was a great feature and showering under the blue sky was incredible.
The cleaners kept the room spotless, although sometimes they didn't make it to our room until about 6pm, which was only a mild annoyance.
Hiring a scooter from the hotel was brilliant and hassle free. They didn't even check over the scooter when we handed it in, so there was no hint of a scam or trying to get more money out of us like some other rental placed.

We stayed at Promtsuk Buri in mid-July for 2 nights. The resort has a lovely garden setting right on the beach & at the front is set back from the main road. It shares a small cove with 3 other resorts. The room is well appointed & the outside bathroom is a feature. Breakfast is included at the cafe, but it closes at 5pm. Having other resorts next door enables one to still have options for dinner. The water is shallow & a little rocky under foot, but is a lovely location to watch the sunset. I'd like to make mention of the staff member at reception on the 2 days we were there as she was extremely helpful. Promtsuk is a 5 mins taxi ride or 15 mins walk from the Lamai markets. We happened to be there on a Sunday & enjoyed the market that operates on a Sunday evening. Please note reception closes at 9pm. I'd recommend Promtsuk for a relaxing escape.

We enjoyed our stay at Promtsuk Buri very much. The villa's are spacious and the outside bathroom are a very nice surprise. Breakfast and other food is very good. People are very service oriented and efficient.
Unfortunate the restaurant is closed in the evening and there is no swimming pool.
However this is well compensated with the beautiful beach and other excellent restaurants nearby.

After having stayed previously at a rather pretentious five star beach resort this really hit the spot! This was a little slice of.."trust me, it's paradise".
The beach bungalow is right on the beach, very clean and well equipped. The included breakfast surpassed all expectations and really set you up for the day. All staff were most cooperative and helpful at all times. We hired very good scooters from the front desk at a great price to explore the island; you do need some form of independent transport as taxi prices are a bit full on! Promtsuk is only ten minutes from Chewang Beach, in fact it's not really far to anywhere and easily 'doable' on a scooter. The four nights spent here became the benchmark for all other stays in Thailand - it really was hard to beat! Thanks to all at Promtsuk Buri for giving us the Koh Samui experience I had dreamed of all winter back in a cold UK.

Room Tip: As you're here might as well have the beach front bungalow.. it makes sense!

We stayed here on the last night of our 2 week stay in Thailand. The hotel room was clean tidy and well appointed. I love the outside/inside bathrooms they do in Thailand. It shares a beach with three other hotels and is side by side and apparently shares kitchen and other facilities with the Thongtakian hotel.

The location on the beach was really good and people from our group utilised it even before we checked in here. It was particularly good for families with children and the neighbouring Thongtakian had a pool which was good for kids and ample open grass spaces for them to run around.

The breakfast was good and included in the room price. There was a shop on the grounds and plenty of taxi, mini vans and mopeds onsite to hire. The only bad points for us were the fact we had requested a baby cot with our booking but told they had run out when we arrived, and there were no phones in the rooms.

Definitely one to consider of returning to Koh Samui for a cheap and practical option, close to Lamai beach.

Lovely quiet little resort on Thongtakian Beach, really chilled out place. We had the beachfront bungalow - gorgeous view! The room was clean and comfortable, nice open air bathroom. There are a couple of restaurants on the bay - nothing fancy but good value. Breakfast at the resort is served at their outdoor restaurant/bar. English breakfast or cereals, pancakes, fruit the choice was good.

The beach was beautiful, we stayed beginning of January for 4 nights, the beach was never crowded. There are no sunbeds, it's that laid back! The location is about 5 mins on a moped from lamai - you will probably need some transport. The staff were polite and helpful!

There is no pool so very few children staying. Would definitely recommend for a quiet relaxing break for couples on a budget but wanting decent accommodation and beautiful beach.

Room Tip: Choose Beach bungalow if you want a sea view, but all rooms are pretty similar.
