We stayed here as a young couple about 6 months ago for 7 nights.
How unlucky we were to find this place. The resort is on the most remote area on Koh Samui. When I told the taxi driver where I was going he had a big smile on his face, told his family he wouldn’t be home for a while and when he dropped us off informed us that tourists very rarely come to this area - how right he was. On a tiny Island which takes an hour to circumnavigate it is surprising that there are virtually no resteraunts, activates or anything tourist related within half an hour from the resort. This means you rely heavily on the resort and it failed all over.
The Hotel is managed by foreign exchange students from various Scandinavian countries as part of their university course.
The staff and their service are terrible. Moist of them are surprised to actually have guests at the resort and are incompetent, the rest are arrogant.
The actual resort is beautifully designed, the rooms are luxurious and the restaurant has excellent food but is expensive.
The front desk closes early which is a hassle, particularly because so many things tend to go wrong at this place.
The power went off twice in our 7 night stay which meant nothing worked including the air-con leaving us in agony as the heat was unbearable. The back up generator was of coarse also out of order. Complaints about this were ignored and the hotel accepted no responsibility.
The staff also were made aware of our Occupations and personal details.
The beach is also probably the worst beach on the entire island
Enough said?
