“Strange, but interesting!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2008

This ornate temple houses the body of Samui's most famous mummified monk Loung Pordeang. He died 30 years ago and is still sat in the same meditation position he died in.
It seems a bit strange going to view a dead body but there were a few people there praying to him and a lot of respect given.
It is a little amusing as they have put black sunglasses on him because of his sunken eyes!

We saw this temple as part of an island day trip.
