The temple and Buddha are built out on a small island connected by a small causeway. The temple is a little different than the typical buddhist temple with a variety of different things to look at that you might not see at other temples. If you are staying along Big Buddha beach it is an easy walk if you are inclined or a tuk-tuk ride from any of the other beaches. It is worth a visit if you are able to combine it with some other sights or are close enough, otherwise it may not be unique enough to make it worth a special trip.
