“Choice your tour guide carefully”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

Visiting the Angthong National Marine Park is a good day trip, but choice your tour guide carefully.

First, it takes about one hour and forty five minutes by boat to get there. We enjoyed a light breakfast (coffee, bananas and pastries) on the way and caught some morning sun. Our tour guide was Samui Island Tours and they were very unorganized. They couldn't keep the groups straight and we were actually scolded by one of the guides because of their lack of communication. I'd go with Blue Star even though it's a little more money.

Also, skip the snorkeling. It's horrible. There is nothing to see. The kayaking was OK, but again this tour group was unorganized and you didn't have much flexibility to kayak without being in a tight group.

The trip back to Koh Samui was pleasant and great for tanning.

Not a bad trip, but try out Blue Star, the higher rated tour provider on the island.

“No Thailand trip is complete without this”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

If you have a good company taking you, this is the best time you'll have !!!!!!
Start out with some snorkeling in crystal blue waters, then off to see one of the best sights you'll ever see. 40 islands around each-other, but your brought to one specific one to climb up and take the nicest pics ever. Depends on the time of the year you go, the price does vary, but well worth what they ask for !!

“An Adventure”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

Make sure the weather isn't going to change throughout the day. These guys will push very powerful boats out here even if they know the weather is expected to turn.

Worth seeing but be safe!!! Check the weather and get used to the idea of giant fast boats going fast even though the weather suggests they shouldn't.

The reward is brilliant - amazing islands and emerald green lakes. Quite spectacular really...

“Amazing views”

The view from the top of one of the islands was amazing but extremely hard to get to the top with the lack of steps! Climbing sharp, steep rocks is the only way up and down!

“Good day trip”

The main island where you hike up 350mts to see a view point is simply stunning!! Dont miss it. Snorkeling in this area isnt much fun as the water is murky; but dont miss out on kayaking here...
