In May 2008 we had our Internationational SKAL AAC meeting on Samui island. The Imperial Boat House hotel was the main congress hotel and most of the delegates stayed there so me as well. Also the major function took place there and I must say that I was impressed. There is no other hotel on this island which can provide such facilities and my accommodation was just what I wanted. I may say in the name of all dlegates that we enjoyed our stay and we all wish the Boat team much success and we will be back soon. Thanks also to the special SKAL rates provided, much appreciated.
SKAL and see you all there again soon.

We held a 2,5 day company meeting with 31 participants. The meeting was very well accepted from all participants and everybody felt very comfortable during the entire event. The local transport, rooms, meeting rooms, service and all the evening events were perfectly organised. Great Swiss managment mixed with the Thai friendliness and hospitality was an excellent recipe for our event. Special thanks to Manu, Benedikt and Rolf!

“Loved boathouse”

Imperial Boat House Hotel

Jun 15, 2008

My boyfriend and i spent a week in ko samui and stayed at the boathouse. The hotel is wonderful, beautiful garden and a big frog pound. The hotel has two pools, both are nice.
The beach is right outside the hotel, very quiet and relaxing. Chong mon beach. The food is wonderful and cheap!
The building work did not bother us at all. You can se them from the beach and from some of the rooms, but it wasnt a problem.

Dogs are running everywhere, but they are friendly. Its lot of dogs in ko samui. We went om mister jungs jungel safari, very good.
We went to ko tao- and the marine park, beautiful beaches and nature.

The room was big. large bath and nice bed. Big balcony.DVD player, fresh fruit, nice staff.
If i have to complain about something it has to be that the shower was not so good. Difficult to get hot water now and then and the floor was a bit old. You could hear sounds when we walked on them.

Boathouse is a wonderful hotel, very relaxing and romantic dining right on the beach. If you want to relax, this is the hotel for you! We loved it.

I booked this hotel because my brother recommended it. It is not on Chewang beach ,but on Choeng I think it's called. Just north of Chewang. It's quiet and the beach massages are 300 baht $10 for one hour and are fabulous. The hotel is right on the beach. I had a 2 rooms overlooking the first pool which is just beautiful. I think I paid 4450 baht per night per room whcih is $139 USD with tax. The breakfast buffet is fantastic. The rooms are clean and lovely. You can use the internet and it's highspeed right @ the hotel. They have free shuttle service to Chewang for shopping, but only pick up and drop off every few hours and not in the evening.
Be sure to eat @ Crystals on the beach just down from the hotel. The food is great and cheap and Trang is a hoot. She is the waitress.
Across the street is a travel agency. Book the snorkel trip to Koh Tau I think it's called for around $45 USD and you will be amazed @ the quality of the snorkeling.

“What a lovely Hotel”

Imperial Boat House Hotel

May 25, 2008
2/2 found this review helpful

Our first trip to Thailand and we was not dissapointed. Booked with Virgin Holidays, everything was excellent from the flight, transfers from Bangkok to Koh Samui. We booked a Premier Room, which was lovely, with views of the monkey pool. Our room was cleaned every day, bed linen changed every other day, clean towels and beach towels every day. Fruit and flowers, (even umbrellas if needed). We did experience 2 power cuts, but hotel has own emergency generators, so no problem there. There is building work next door, but it is not a problem. The breakfast is good, with lots of choice to suit everyone. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful (especially Gong and Santi). We will be going back again in the future.
