“Good service, but be wary of monsoon season”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2013

The sites are nice, you actually get to snorkel for an hour or two in total. If they say 1-2 meter waves, don't go! It was a very stressful 2h boat trip, with half the boat getting seasick... My family and I are usually very relaxed, but this was a hard, bumpy ride. The boat captain was thankfully very skillful, but it's just not worth having to worry on your vacations and spending an hour in Koh Nangyuan recovering.

“Don't waste your time!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2013

I did not go with Bproject I went with what I assume is th compnay that most hotel will book for you in Samui is Lomlahk also called by anohter similar name but can't remember. I would say if you just want to get away from the grime and business of Samui for a day and you have time to waste, go for it. If you like being treated like cattle, eating a lunch that is very sub par, and only getting to snorkel for one hour where its good(Koh Tao) then this is your company. Around say 200 people meet at the same time at very run down "camp" and then depart for a one and half hour speed boat ride to the first island of koh Nangyuan, which is beautiful, if they had not turned it into a tourist trap. Then after 3 hours, which is MORE than enough, and your not so great lunch, then they take you to Koh Tao, and park the boat and you snorkel there. This part was nice I thought and the snorkeling was much better. Do not expect world class at either place. If you have never been snorkeling then you will probably enjoy it, if you have been to say Sarm El Shiek, Aqaba, Caribbean or others, then this well be meh. Then you will be taken back herded around to your bus and taken back you your hotel, for around 2,100 baht, about 120 USD
I would say there are companies that do it right, this is not one, avoid and find one better, you can! The worst part was on the boat ride back to Samui the waves and wind kicked up a bit and waves were crashing into the boat. Ok no big deal we are on the ocean right? now it's been 30 minutes and every wave is soaking everyone. Here is the thing, there are plastic covers that come down and will protect the passengers from this, they did not even bother to stop the boat and put these down or do anything to prevent the customers from getting soaked for an hour and a half in the cold!! UNACCEPTABLE
I will say one very bright part for me was the main guy on the boat i was on was super friendly and as I was traveling alone due to some unforeseen problems with friends, he was extremely friendly and actually made it bearable. I forget his name he was from Burma, he asked where i was from I said USA and he was really professional and kind. Kudos to him!
Otherwise avoid this group find something better or even don't go, not all that you think it will be

“november rain”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013

we took a boat from Seatran ferry, when it was rainy season, the big ferry made half of the passengers seasick to the death! 3hours with a bumpy ferry is awful, but when we reach the Ko Nang Yuan, it's worth every seasick we had

“Excellent snorkeling”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

What a spectacular day. Speed boat trip to Koh Tao and snorkeling at Koh Nang Yuan, a beautiful private island. The strip of beach that joins the islands is all the pictures make it out to be.

The staff on the boat were helpful, friendly and safety conscious.

This was well worth the day spent in the water and enjoying the gorgeous scenery.

“Taxi Ride only.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

Not sure if this is the same company we used but it is the only one I could find on TA, so here goes.
We were picked up early from hotel (about 1/2 hour) we were still getting ready, missing breakfast, but we somehow managed to get to register late? meaning we missed the "light breakfast", banana and biscuit.
The trip to the islands was nothing more than a overfull taxi ride, little communication with guides and too many people. We had no choice but to sit up front.
The first snorkelling spot was below average at best with nothing but dead coral and few fish at Koh Nangyuan.
Lunch was your standard "Farang" Thai food - Green chicken curry, and rubbery fish cakes, cold rice, prawn crackers, however nice big pieces of fruit thou.
Not impressed for the amount of money we paid for the trip, you then had to pay for everything on the island even after the 100 Baht entrance fee to the island? 50 Baht for shower, 150 Baht for chair.
The afternoon snorkelling was much better with actual live coral and more fish. Visibility was a little poor, due to quantity of visitors I would say. But a great selection of fish.
The return trip was a nightmare, very bumpy with the skipper not interested in slowing down (fixed by multiple massages). Once again little interaction with crew.
Overall we were not that impressed. An over priced Taxi ride with a complimentary bottle of water.
We have previously experienced far better trips in other Thai locations.
