“Peaceful and relaxing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

We stayed for one night before moving on to another resort for a wedding. It was a lovely garden setting and very quiet after being in Bangkok. We received an upgrade due to the villa we had booked ( I suspect) being rented out to long term renters. The villas are advertised as long or short term stays on the board outside. The house had everything we needed and very clean. We had problems with one airconditioner where our son was to sleep but we moved him into the large bedroom and that was fine. We did let them know it was not working properly so hopefully they had it fixed. The pool was sparkling clean and a great escape from the heat. They even supplied floating toys to relax or play with. It is very close to the beach (across the road) but it is not what I would call a swimming beach as it is not very clean. Lamai is the place to go for a great beach. No shops in the area that we could see, although you will find a few restaurants. We tried one on the sand on the beach and it was really cheap and yummy. This is an ideal place if you want to relax. You will need to hire a scooter or car as it is a bit of distance from most places to try and walk. You can have the office arrange you a car for a price and they will even pick you up from the airport really early in the morning. Taxis etc on Samui are not cheap like in Bangkok. They do not use the meter and you will need to haggle for a better price, although don't expect too much of a reduction. The open taxis with the canopy are fun. All in all a friendly, clean, quiet place to stay.

I had booked for 3 nights a 2 bed apartment and when we arrived were informed that, we could only stay one night or 2 more but only if we moved to the one bed apartment. As there were 4 of us that wasn't an option. I suspect they had a longer booking that they prioritized over us. Not great impression for my husband who had just arrived in Thailand.

I think the clue is in the name. It is more like a housing estate than a hotel. I suspect many people who stay here are long termers with cars etc as the location is not great. It is quiet, but the beach is dirty and there is only really one restaurant within short walking distance.

The accommodation is nice though, spacious and good quality, big terrace and comfortable with most mod cons. If you pre arrange breakfast can be brought in to eat in your room, which is a great service.

Pool is big but needs a refurb, cracked tiles - my son cut his foot.

There are much nicer places to stay on the Island.

House: we had a lovely house near the pool with lots of privacy, two balconies and a kitchenette. Everything was clean and the staff had an eye for details to make you feel welcome.

Location: perfect for people who do not mind to travel 3 minutes by bike or car to lamai beach. The resort is a peaceful place, but not to far from lamai nightlife. You need a car or a bike which you can rent at the resort if wanted.

staff: the staff is really helpful and honestly tries to give you a nice vacation. At the reception Engish was spoken fluently.

Others: the swimming pool was nice, was taken care of and had a ball :) We went to quite a few resorts but this one we liked the most. It also was good value for money. If you don't want to stay in the middle of drunken parties, this is the place to be.

Very nice hotel in a wonderful, peaceful garden. Spaceful and clean cottages. Friendly and very helpful staff. We stayed as a couple for 10 days and everything was perfect. The only thing that could have made it better was location closer to the beach - only 200 m. to the ocean, but the beach wasn't too clean. Lamai beach is only 8-10 min away on scooter, so no problem.
