“Good location and plenty of room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2012

This is a great starting point for any one visiting Chiangmai and is well known amongst locals and expats. It has a good selection of food and drinks which are all reasonably priced. The immediate area has plenty of other cafe's and restaurants and is close to all the small back pack accommodation. Thursday's is quiz night and a good chance to meet up with new friends.

“fun times!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2012

when I first arrived in Thailand I was homesick and went to quit a few places searching for some quality mashed potatoes. I found it at the UN Irish Pub! Their chicken pie with mashed potatoes and gravy saved me from homesickness a few times since. Nice place for a dinner with a friend (balcony on the sexond floor is my favourite!) and watching an UEFA World Cup with a truly United Nations bunch of people. The only thing is -last itme when I came with a special friend, just for that mashed potatoe-pie meal, at 10-20 (unaware of their kitchen close at 10-30), run to the bathroom first, and seven minutes later our order wasn't accepted, oopsie. Besides that, they used to be the latest places with wi-fi available (open till 1 am)

“The Best Pub Grub in all of Thailand”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2012

Found this place 2 years ago and have been back to Chiang Mai 5 times since and always eat many times here at the U.N. Irish Pub. Not much to look at from across the street but inside this place looks just like and old English / Irish Pub. Included out the back is a small beer garden, but be carefull in the evening as the Mosquito's might eat more of your feet than you eat food. Great garden setting for lunch time as it is shaded heavily by many trees. The many is adequate with many variety's from great western food right through to Thai cuisine. Meal sizes are more than a normal Thai size serve. Please note....... Every time I go here I always have some of the Pumpkin & Coconut Soup. It is to die for. Huge bowl of delicious soup with a small ammount of cracked pepper, serve with a fresh home made bread roll. By the way, they have a thriving bakery and supply many other restuarants with some of the best bread in Thailand. Main meals for me can vary from fresh melt in your mouth fried John Dory, Pizza, Home made Pies and I have even tried the Cheese and Mashed Potato Croquets. Staff are friendly and courtious. Kitchen is swift with your order and the beverages are always cold. Prices are more than reasonable with a 2 course entry and main including a couple of ale's costing around $10 or less. The U.N. Irish Pub is in my top 5 places anywhere in the world. Enough said, - "NIKE" - Just Do It
