My boyfriend and me spent our first days in Thailand at Parami Guesthouse and it gave us a warm welcome, very helpful staff, Roger, the owner, has always time for a chat, gives you good advices. Thanx to him we went into areas almost where we were the only tourists, only locals there (and soooo friendly, nice...), thanx to him we had a great 3-day-trekking-tour... the room was very clean, although a bit dark but actually that was good - the sun didn't burn to much then. Ok, bed was a bit hard, but after all the impressions you get during walking through the city you'll definately fall asleep quickly :-) Oh, and there's a very good restaurant just across the street, very thai, very delicious! But don't miss the food you'll get at Warorot market, the one you'll reach just walking a bit and then crossing the little pedistrian bridge...just great! For breakfast you can stay at Parami, the have very good muesli serve outside in the little garden if you want :-) and you pay not soo much for it. A big plus for parami was for us its location - if you like staying in a thai neighbourhood, not in a touristy one (which is in the older part of chiang mai, 20min walk), it will also be perfect for you :-)

I Loved the Parami Guesthouse! You get so much more than you pay for. The staff was so helpful and eager to help my vacation be all that it could be. They helped me book some tours and even packed my breakfast up for me when I was running late. I went as a lone traveler and I would highly recommend this place to just about any kind of traveler. Aces all the way!!! I had great spa treatment from the on site spa, the massage therapist was awesome! I will definitely book here when I return to Thailand!

We found this guesthouse on the internet. We booked a twin room with private toilet and shower via email on very short notice. Roger , the owner, replied immediately and also had a room available for us.
Staff is very friendly, the rooms are very clean. and the house itself is gorgeous, with great care for details. Still, as we stayed for several times in Chiang Mai and in different guesthouses before, we found that our twin room (550 Baht) is slightly overprized in comparison.
This was mainly for two reasons: Firstly, our room "with private toilet and shower" (as written on the homepage) meant that the shower was in the room, our private toilet and (shared) sink, however, was outside in the hallway.
Secondly, as the Guesthouse is close to a quite busy road, the traffic noise could be heard most of the time - our earplugs came in handy..

We were travelling with 2 kids, 10 and 13 years old and looking for a place that was inexpensive, but clean and comfortable. Parami was everything we needed and more! My kids said that Parami had the most comfortable beds in Thailand (high praise indeed) and the best showers! We had two rooms upstairs and we absolutely loved the decor, the beautiful original floorboards and the garden!

Everyone was amazingly helpful including translating over the telephone to our friend's grandfather (in Chiang Mai) to help us arrange a visit. Nothing was too much trouble and the children felt amazingly at home here.

The location along the river is beautiful with amazing art galleries and restaurants and its a quick walk over the bridge to get to other attractions. Thank you for making our stay in Chiang Mai so comfortable. Parami is GREAT value - we will definitely come back again!
