“Second time here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

Hi to all you readers, love writing reviews here. Second time in Chiang Mai and it's busier than ever and even more fun. The city is vibrant full of life and culture and it's so much better than suffocating and polluted Bangkok. For Instance people are nicer, life has a slower flow. But the city has markets, festivals and tings going on all the time with amazing street food. Since you want top be at the heart of the city the 3 Sis is the best place, this charming B&B is right in the middle of the old city (that is the walled area). And at night the area is very quiet after all the markets and even close so you also have lots of tranquility. The place is simple but well run. The people are very helpful and Johnny and Boom have been great. The entry has this sofa area where you just take your shoes off and seat down and relax. Room are simple but the beds are very confy, with air con. I could suggest they make a better use of the front street bar that can tun into a proper stopping place for tea, coffee and drinks. It is what we say high value for money.

I love this B&B! It's beautiful and in a great central location. The staff is sweet and accommodating. They have bikes to borrow if you want to ride around town, but it's an easy walk to pretty much everywhere you want to go. Breakfast is included and very nice.

Very nicely designed "cute" hotel in a great location. Inside the walls of the old city. (I recommend getting a hotel inside the walls. Quite and peaceful. A lot of temples to see.)
About 4 breakfast choices, but all choices were excellent!

Right around the corner from the 3 Sis was a very nice little Italian Restaurant, Collosseo.

No real negatives. Only thing I was surprised about was that they were not familiar with the Thai Orchid Cookery School, which was only a few doors away from them. I found it by accident. The cooking course was excellent.

I would definitely want to stay there again if I went back to Chiang Mai.

Our last 3 nights up in the Northern cities of Thailand was spent in 3 sis. Absolutely fantastic b&b. Clean, gorgeous furnishings, simple but nice rooms, breaky ok, staff very friendly. Mozzie coils burnt outside our rooms at night but no problems. Perfect location for Sunday night markets and Wat Chedi Luang across the road. 7/11 around the corner, tuk, tuk, songtaew's close by. No swimming pool but not needed in the cooler month of January. Definitely a b&b to return to one day.

Stayed in the 3sis two nights before heading up north trekking in the hills of northern Thailand, so wanted to treat us to a nice hotel beforehand. The hotel and grounds are very well kept and clean. The reception area has a pretty colonial style layout. The rooms are big and clean with a nice design big beds and spotless and modern bathrooms. Staff spoke fluent English and was super helpful and friendly. Breakfast is included, was on the table in no time (important if you have tours booked that start early) and always freshly prepared. Location is perfect - it is very central but situated in the nice and quiet enough old town center. All sights bars etc. are within walking distance. Our room was on the ground floor which was OK but a little bit noisy in the evening, not a big deal but as we got to bed early before the trekking tour, we could hear the usual "noise" from reception. So you might want to ask for a room on the higher floors. Only point of criticism is that our bed didn't have a mosquito net. They do have mosquito screens installed at the windows, however somehow quite a few managed to come in any disturbed our sleep - this again can be because we were on ground level and facing a garden. Anyway, a net would have given us peace of mind. Overall I would definitely recommend a stay. It is not on the cheap side but the cleanliness and high design standards justify the price charged.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the new building and on the upper levels.

The service in the hotel was outstanding. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was nice, in the night we woke up a few times due to loud guests (the doors of the rooms make a lot of noise) of the hotel. The breakfast was ok, toast, cornflakes, the usual.
We highly recommend this hotel.

A great location with beautiful rooms. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. The morning breakfast was good. I would stay here again for sure. The lobby is beautiful.

It is right in the heart of the city but being just down the soi a bit makes a huge difference. It was quiet and peaceful.
