The Raming Lodge staff is extremely helpful. They remember your name and face immediately.

The service was great - Free breakfast, in-room drinks, fresh fruit and pastries daily. Good location for night life too.

Dinner in the restaurant was not too good. Breakfast was fine.

Room was spacious with a good bathroom.

I loved this hotel for many rasons. The staff are friendly helpful and profesional and bend over backwards to help you with any query.
The location is great (there are a few seedy girly bars around but not like Bangkok) as it is a short walk to the go inside the walls of the old city and itis not far from the nightmarket. The best market is the one in the old city that is held on Sundays.

The rooms are very nice and have blended in modernity with local styles. The rooms are sufficiently large and the bathroom is nice and airy. All the rooms have aircon and cable tv.

They have also added a small pool which is a short walk from the hotel. This is a great place to relax after a hard day sightseeing. It also has a snack bar at the pool which was also nice with reasonable prices.

The breakfast is quite sumptious blending western and eastern foods together. It is a buffet so you can help yourself. the location is outside but it is shaded by trees and gets a nice breeze through it. it is also a great palce to people watch. You can eat dinner there but we prefered to go elsewhere.

I would definitely book this hotel again if i get back to this part of thailand. Just perfect quiet getaway.

Our group Aussies, seven of us stayed here for 4 nights. Wish we could have stayed longer. This hotel is really cute! We chose the royal suits which had two bedrooms and had an extra bed in the living room part. These suits were lovely and had HUGE baths! The rooms were large and very clean. Beds and pillows very comfortable. Loved the Lani style. Internett quite reasonable. We even had a free complimentary bar fridge of beer, soft drinks and little cakes. Also lovely big fruit bowl every day. We chose this hotel mainly because of the good reviews and the location. We were not disappointed! The hotel looks even better than the photos. Good location for walking around the city and markets. Staff were very nice, and breakfast was quite good. Plenty to chose from. We wish the pool was open a bit earlier than 10.00am. Maybe when it is refurbished, next week. Overall our group really had fun in Chiang Mai and will definately come back to this hotel.

May 15, 2009 | Trip type: Friends getaway

Stayed here for four nights leaving today. The hotel was really nice and staff were really helpful. The pool area was really also really nice but I believe they are renovating it later this week. Stayed on a deluxe room and they have a deal thoughout May/June for only 1400 bhat a night. Breakfast (good selection)/free mini bar/fruit in room all included. Also had double shower with hot running water all times of the day. Had a Spa as well..nice

Was very close to the Red Light district which I found a bit sleazy...lots of old blokes looking ready to keel over!!! Clearly in Chang Mai for one thing...!!!

Spacious room, free in-room safe. Breakfast average.
Our room was at the back, so nice and quiet. Didn't notice the beds being especially hard, as commented earlier.
Great location, between Night Bazaar and Old City.
Stayed in so many places in CM in the past and would definately use this again. Double Room £20 per night from Asiarooms.com
