We loved Baan Orapin! It is a wonderful property. The main building where Pepsi welcomed us looks beautifully traditional and historic. We got a garden room in the back with a porch. The room and bathroom were spotless and charming. The garden itself were lush.
They supply 3 bottles of drinking water a day, have a kettle to heat water in the room, and their mini bar prices are very reasonable. Breakfast was wonderful and fresh. I miss sitting outside by the pool eating breakfast. The pool looked clean but we didn't get to use it.
Pepsi was very helpful with his maps and recommendations. He also got us a taxi for an early morning trip to the airport.
My only complaint - and this is minor - is that I wish the curtains had a little more width to fully cover the windows. Our room had several glass windows and I am pretty sure people couldn't see in at night but I would have felt better with more curtain width to completely cover the windows/doors. Like I said, very minor issue.
Overall we loved Baan Orapin. We were only there for 3 nights and I wish we had stayed longer. Chiang Mai is lovely and there is a lot to do, but leave yourself some time to lounge pool side at Baan Orapin.
