“Needs to improve”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2013 via mobile

We heard the manager has left this hotel recently. It might be a rumour but it would explain a few things. Swimming pool is dirty and needs some maintenance. Breakfast is below average. Fried eggs sit on s hot plate. Fine if you get them as they come out of the kitchen. BUT if they have been out a while they could be frisbees!

The lack of wifi in rooms is just not what you expect nowadays. Really should be free throughout the hotel.

Rooms are tired and need a refurb.

When we were at this hotel there was construction and dust during the day but quiet at night. The Hotel looks real nice on the outside but when you get to the room its a bit worn. It was clean enough and the pool was nice the location was walking distance from everything we wanted so no complaints there.I think you can get better value in the same area because across the street a hotel offers rooms at 1/2 the price of this hotel and looks the same. The breakfast was kind of funky and the internet did not work but they quickly offer to use the house computer at a high cost which we declined and went down the road to a internet cafe. all in all I think you can do much better for the same price. .

Room Tip: stay if you must

Not sure who's done Trip Advisers previous review on this hotel because they must of either been blind, in desperate need of glasses and hearing aid or been bribed.

We travel and stay in many hotel in Thailand and this one without doubt is the worst.

The rooms are well worn, stained and grubby.

The restaurant is infested with ants, table cloths and seats stained and the place is alive with mosquitoes. The food is well below the basic standard.

Noise levels are high from unruly, ignorant back packers who can't read the signs asking them to keep the noise levels down.

The whole hotel is long overdue a face lift, lick of paint, new carpets, curtains and a complete overhaul.

Okay for back packers....and animals.

I was planning on staying only a couple nights and ended up staying a week. The hostel is clean, comfortable, and modern. It is also in a great central location, steps away from the night market and one of the central gates. I would recommend it.

We booked this hotel from Bangkok as we were arriving late at night. It was just ok. The room had a very odd layout but was clean enough. The pool are was very nice. The breakfast was not great. We only stayed two nights and then changed hotels.
