“Indulge yourself”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

when you crave some shade on a sticky hot day in Chiang mai, there is no better place to spoil your self or others . The cakes are so light so delicious you will have a hard to to choose. The garden is a oasis in a hot city , as soon as you walk in you are transported .The garden is lush and tropical (ask for natural holistic mosquito spray ) what a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, eat drink relax and take int he flowers.

“Lush setting for a break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

The setting is cool and shady, providing a variety of seating types and groupings so you can decide if you want to sit properly at a table or lounge a bit more and enjoy the garden setting. The selection of cakes is wonderful, and the juices are very nice as well. A glass of cool ice water is delivered with the menu which was a nice touch. They are open until after dark which was great for us, but once the sun starts to go down because it is moist and shady in there, the mosquitoes come out and get very busy. You can sit away from the vegetation a bit which helps but you'll want whatever kind of mosquitoe proofing you use to visit after dark. Service is fine, though the English was limited and when we wanted a refill we had to go and ask them as we couldn't catch an eye.

“Perfect pit stop!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013

The perfect afternoon pit stop in an oasis of calm amongst the city.
Excellent teas, coffees and cakes - something for everyone.
Beautiful stop to rest weary feet & also log on to complimentary wifi.

“Beautiful surroundings and yummy dessert”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

This cafe was listed in the Lonely Planet guidebook so I decided to take a look as it was less than 10 minutes walking from my hotel.

It has a lush garden setting and also feels cool with the fans spraying mist all around. The customers were mostly Thais , instead of the tourist crowd; probably due to the hidden location in a small lane (not along the main roads)

I had cinnamon toast with a scoop of icecream and it was delicious. Price was very decent (90THB)

It looked like a great place to hang out for a few hours with a good book or friends.

The only complaint was that I couldn't get onto the supposed "Free Wifi " even with the supplied password, and the staff spoke very little English and couldn't understand me when I tried to ask them.

“Relaxing spot in the afternoon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012

I have been going to Fern Forest Cafe for 2 years now. I enjoy having an afternoon hot or cold tea or coffee. Prices are very competitive. Water served with your beverage. Good selection of cakes. I don't understand how the Thai women stay so thin eating these goodies! The setting is very comforting in a lush garden setting. Good WiFi to check your email or read your iPad.
Clientele mostly Thai when I was there this afternoon.
