“You definitely don't want to miss this iconic ice cream store.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013 via mobile

The iberry ice-cream shop in Chaing Mai
It's easy to miss if you're bootin it along Nimmanhemin Road so walk slowly and ask for directions if you need because you definitely don't want to miss this iconic store .

Once you find the address, take a deep breath and look up. You should be looking at the underbelly of a four legged yellow twenty foot high Mao / dog/ man
Thing wearing his signature square jam jar bottom glasses . This is an-upscale, trendsetting ,fashion and lavish lifestyle kind of place
The sign on the lawn wants you to stay off the grass. A grotesque caricature of a police officer encourages people to drink responsibly; a bit of a moot point since they serve no alcohol.
The narrow walkway leads to the entrance from where you can see the beautiful garden, the lantern illuminated trees, the chic seating area. The decor is chic layered with eccentricities of all kinds. The furniture, door handles, the lighting fixtures all scream over the top gangnam style .
The price is prohibitive but the ice cream and people watching can't be beat. As my Thai friends pointed out. You pay twenty bahte for the ice cream, twenty for the location and twenty to be seen eating here. Everywhere you look, there are Thai youth acting their coolest cool strutting their stuff like cockerels in heat. Tired old foreign men salivate over their laptops trying to look nonchalant , like they belong. Children of rich Thai couples flaunt their wealth on triple scoops of ice cream.
At iberry Your request is their pleasure : fancy coffee? Milkshakes? Sundaes, no problem they can handle that and one hundred flavours of ice cream .
Be prepared to spend some time here. Take a few photos of the venue or of yourself wearing the iberry head. Very cool .
Oh yes , hit the ATM before you go, they only take cash . Swag it in and swag it out, that's the groove at the iberry ice team shop on Chaing Mai.

“What's the Fuss About?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

Ten years ago iBerry was our favourite heladería in BKK as it had many unusual flavours. That was when it offered three scoops for 105 baht and free drinking water like at Swensen's. But after its over-priced ice cream lost its appeal to Bangkokians, one entrepreneurial comedian brought it to Chiang Mai. Although many flavours are available, they aren't as good as they used to be. And the funky decor attracts too many hipsters who seem to be on their Instagram 24/7. This photo-friendly atmosphere isn't for everyone. Unless you're one of those teenagers or a die-hard fan of (big-)Nose(d) Udom Taepanich, don't bother because the ice-cream is only so-so.

“What a relax and pieceful mind in iberry!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

We went to iberry by a scooter and used lots of time to locate it in Nimxxx Rd. After arrived, it was terrific, a tall big dog with sharp color and the green beautufil garden surrounding there. Also, the interior design of the shop was unique and in designer style. A hanging light was made from hundred of beer cups joined together, how creatice and wonderful it was! For food, we orderd some cakes and honey toasted, all were delicious though the price is a bit of expensive! People were taking photo here and there in the shop. Overall, we enjoyed the atmosphere there!

“Kooky”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

This is such a kooky place but it all works. It's really popular and has some art you can play with. Haven for barista lovers with cameras, even better for an afternoon relaxing period.

“Overpriced, over crowded, bad service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

We sought out this place on the recommendation of our hotel. On a Sunday it was over run with people (all Thai), had a 30 minute wait after ordering...and THEN they randomly replaced one of our flavors with chocolate because what we'd ordered was all out. Didn't even explain until we looked perplexed...and didn't ask if it was OK...it wasn't. Ice cream was fine, but nothing to write home about. Was more expensive than Swensen's, which is the ice cream to have in Thailand. Don't bother making the trek here. And, no, there was no language misunderstanding in any of this...my wife is Thai...
