Description: "A hidden gem". This restaurant was recommended by our local tour guide on our way to the Thai Silk and Silver factory. It seems like this restaurant was frequented by Thai celebrities as seen by the photos hanged on the walls. The restaurant has a lovely outdoor garden with a lake. An excellent choice or stop-over for lunch before or after visiting the factories. Menu has wide variety of noodles and rice selections. Very reasonable prices.

“A bit out of the way but worth it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

As mentioned by the other reviewers this place is a bit out of the way but totally worth it.

We had a quick lunch snack consisting of the pad thai, some tum yum gong and chicken and fish wrapped in the leaves and then grilled. The grilled fish and chicken was amazing!!! Spicy but balanced with the dipping sauces they gave. My wife and I shared all these dishes and the price for 4 grilled items, 1 soup and 1 pad thai was around 400BHT!

Totally worth it, including the view of the elephants outside. We sat outside.

“You must go here.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2012

As per other reviews, this is one not to be missed. Authentic Thai food rather than the stuff that is targeted at tourists, beautiful location, but a bit far from the main city. It's worth the trip, though.

We had a couple of entrees, a couple of mains, and a dessert all for about 500 or 600 baht.

“Worth the search”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2012

10' by car from downtown, opened only for lunch.
Motivated by reviews, I wasn't disapointed : enjoyable garden which is keeping us away from the outside busy road, friendly service and excellent food for decent thai prices. Only half a dozen table with a direct view on the garden, but many tables behind, still outside.

“Delicious and Cheap. Unbelievably good!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2012

According to our palate this is the best restaurant in Chiang Mai. The building and garden are beautifully designed, so much so that when you enter it you expect to pay 500 Bhat at least for a meal, but you could not be more wrong.

50 Bhat for a fried rice ( the cheapest I have had yet in Thailand), 90 Bhat for a Fried fish with sweet and sour chilli sauce (try this it is amazingly delicious!) and 99 Bhat for a Tom Kha Gai ( Spicy coconut chicken galangal soup). The food was nicely presented and the drinks....various types of fruit Juices were refreshing and tasty.

I still cannot believe that such good food was so cheap and regret the fact that we did not have a chance to go back there. The staff were great as well.

Thank you for a wonderful meal. If we ever visit Chiang Mai again this restaurant will be on top of our list.
