We stayed three nights at this place celebrating our honeymoon. The location of this hotel is fantastic central and close to all amenities by walking distance. We booked the hotel based on overall positive feedback on trip advisor. The room we were given was small but had a balcony which was nice. Once we checked in we noticed the bathroom had a terrible moldy odour. We brought it up in the evening and were told someone would look into it the next day. The next day we headed out and upon returning noticed it was fixed. An hour later the stench returns. We complained and were offered a room at street level with noise and then an upgrade but were told we would need to move after 1 night. Being incredibly irritated with the disgusting smell and having to pack and move twice because a suitable room wa not available for us for two consecutive nights we declined and just went back to the smelly room.
The next day we were on our way out and one of the staff asked if we would like an upgraded room for that night. We obliged and upon returning we moved rooms. This room. Was great, large and much nicer. Happy to finally have a good nights sleep on our last night of 3 nights.
breakfast was great the 2 days we got it. We asked if for our third day we could have a takeout box since we had to leave for the airport at 5:30am. We were told it was not possible as the kitchen would be closed. That morning we noticed someone was cooking and putting out food. We asked if we could get toast o something to go and were rudely told no. It was really offsetting considering it was readily available and the decent thing would be to send your guests off with anything especially since they paid for it. Then we were charged for a short local phone call. You really get the feeling here you're just a walking wallet and there was no sense of personality or interest here. We won't be back.
Also... We asked for a wakeup call and never received it. Set your own alarm.
Happy hour sucks. 2-4-1 is not buy 2 get 1 free. It means you buy 1 and get 1 free. Also offering your guests a welcome drink would be a nice touch. And we booked a taxi to the airport the night before our flight. It arrived 15minutes late and wasn't even a taxi it was a rickshaw vehicle with the open back. If I haunt told them enough...it was our honeymoon ... Could we not have gotten a proper vehicle??!
