“Cannot comment on course, as I wasn't picked up”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

I had a confirmed reservation for a whole day at the school. I even emailed the day before to confirm what time they would pick me up and they said between 9am-9:30. We were waiting by 8:45, just in case, and by 9:45, I knew something was wrong. I called the school and they figured out that they had us scheduled for another day. I understand that mistakes happen but when you are traveling for a short period of time, it's not always possible to re-book confirmed reservations. It was offered for us to come to a later, shorter class at a discount, and I appreciated that, but again, plans were already made for that evening.
We were very disappointed that we weren't able to join the class.

“A must do for any Thai Food Lover. Well run with lovely, attentive staff.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Definitely do the full-day, the difference in price isn't much and you get to cook at least 2 extra dishes if I remember correctly. The staff were lovely, and everything was meticulously organised. The food market was interesting too and a great way to learn first-hand about Thai ingredients. The way the day was set out was brilliant, it allowed time to make new friends as once all your dishes were cooked, a table, beautifully set out, was prepared for you to eat your own meal and try some of your classmate's dishes. The recipe book that I was given at the end of the day has proved invaluable now back at home. “Excellent day. Well run organization offers great instruction and food.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

We went to a few cooking classes in Thailand. This place was our favorite. The market tour was worthwhile. We learned how coconut milk is made, and the instructor went over a variety of ingredients, and suggested alternatives if we couldn't find something back home. The actual cooking was well run. You get to pick the dishes you want to make, then break up into smaller groups to actually cook the meals. The staff is attentive and the instruction is hands on. The pace is perfect, not too fast, not too slow. All the instructors spoke English and gave personalized tips on technique.

“Great way to spend a day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

First choice you'll have will be to do the full day or half day - I recommend the former as you'll get a tour of a local market where all the key ingredients are not only bought but also have their usage explained to you. You'll also get to cook an extra dish.

The cooking itself is great fun with everything explained along the way. You make the choices of dishes you want to cook and are then split into small groups to go through the cooking. You're given basic instructions & assistance then take your completed meal off to a dining room where you can sit & chat with the other visitors as you eat the dish you've just made. By the end of the day you'll be stuffed!

The staff are very friendly & knowledgeable and you're given a great cookbook to finish off.

Highly recommended.

“Learned a lot about Thai Cooking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

This place gives you a lot of knowledge about thai cooking. They take you to a local but clean market to buy the ingredients. The guide spoke really good English. They also taught us some basic kitchen skills about cooking. Highly recommend this place to others
