“Great hotel, great location, great city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2014

We have returned to the Chiang Mai Le Meridien 3 times. The location is ideal. It is a well run hotel with good service, good food and nice accommodations. The concierge staff is helpful and responsive. We recommend you have them contact Mr. Pong to hire as a private driver. Mr. Pong is a warm, honest, knowledgable, and an awesome driver. My 3 adult sons refer to him as 'the amazing Mr. Pong'. He really made our trip flawless and enjoyable. The hotel is well located in town. The night markets spring up right in front of the hotel. You can easily get to great restaurants and other convenient shops. We recommend the Whole Earth restaurant. This is a great hotel in a great location in a great city. Highly recommended.

I would just like to say what a great stay we had at your hotel, the suite was amazing and your staff could not have more helpful.

We had a great view overlooking the night market, despite the hustle and bustle at street level it was a very quiet, clam and relaxing environment. We had a huge walk in closet, large shower and huge tub with ceiling to floor views on both sides, amazing. This was well worth the cost, with a separate living area and large bedroom, a beautiful room.

Everyday we were greeted by your staff in the club lounge whenever we so much as passed, they were equally as patient, pleasant and helpful at breakfast and in the evenings.
It was a very busy time with many of international tourists and business people alike, they coped immensely well.
The breakfast was comprehensive and replenished regularly, afternoon tea was a treat, although I did prefer the old way, when it was served individually on a cake stand.
A very nice touch was the complimentary aperitifs served with orduerves in the evening.
All the lounge team were amazing and we enjoyed our time with them, many thanks.

We tended to spend our afternoons at the pool and in the gym and the team down there were just a gracious, our sun beds were prepared for us, in our favourite spot, iced water and offers of drinks were made often.
We ate lunch by the pool several days, the service and quality of food was great value.

We treated ourselves to a massage at the spa and although it is more expensive than surrounding local establishments, the quality of the environment , treatment rooms and service far surpassed the hurried traffic of in and out neighbourhood massage houses. Basically you get what you pay for.

On the last night we had dinner in Favola, the in house Italian restaurant and the food, service and value for money could not have been more amazing we enjoyed every course served professionally and in a timely and relaxing pace, a nice way to end our trip.

If fact all your staff made our stay a special one, they are a great asset to your hotel.

Just completed a fantastic stay at Le Meridien. The hotel is located in the heart of the City, with the Night Market immediately outside the hotel's front door. The "Old City" and "Walking Streets" are minutes away by foot.

The rooms were well appointed and spotless and the hotel had a staff that was second to none: helpful, friendly and attentive.

Of special note were the Towers Lounge and front desk staffs. I don't know how they could have provided better service. The Front Office Manager greeted us upon our arrival and could be seen throughout our stay overseeing operations. She seemed to be on the property from early morning until late at night.

The Towers benefits include evening hors d' oeuvre's, evening cocktails and a full breakfast in a private lounge--it is a real treat!

We treated ourselves to Favola (the in-house Italian restaurant) one evening. While I had a delicious risotto, my colleague had lamb that was out of this world, as delicious as I have ever had. The Executive Chef could be seen leading his team in the open kitchen.

Nothing overwhelmingly good or bad about this hotel. Great location but this hotel was just a place to lay our head at night...Which makes it seem a bit over priced. Nothing really stands out as really good or really bad.

This a lovely hotel, in a prime location in Chiang Mai. Situated right next to the night bizarre this was a good base. Also very close to the fabulous Lemongrass restaurant .

Rooms were very luxurious and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We stayed on the 14th floor and had a wonderful view.

The breakfast had a great selection and the staff were very attentive. Concierge in particular were very helpful in recommending some good things to do!

The only negative of the hotel (hence 4 out of 5 rating) would be that the pool area didn't start to get warm until 1:00pm due to the position of the hotel, obviously this can't be helped, and there is no wifi in the room without paying for it. However, for the rates this was an excellent hotel to stay in!

This spg hotel always reach their standard and never make me feel disappointed. The lobby filled with many sofa for sitting and waiting your friend. The lifts bring you to the room are secured by the room key card. One thing I don't like is the hidden lift hall, quite hard to notice for the first time using. Should have more clear sign for the direction. The room is also nice and clean, provided sufficient space to open the luggage on the floor. Breakfast fulfill various kind of food and nice tasted. Good location, next to the night bazaar by walk. I would stay in this hotel again.

We had a great experience at Le Meridien Chiang Mai on our honeymoon in October 2013. Would highly recommend. Stayed with Starwood points, so might be biased as we got a great suite upgrade and personalized service, but in general, a great hotel with great features and a good location. Chairat was the employee that stuck out in our minds. He learned our names quickly and helped us at the concierge desk on multiple occasions. He was always extremely polite, friendly, and welcoming with great advice and a helpful insiders tip. He really enhanced our stay and helped make Chiang Mai our favorite stop on the honeymoon.

Would highly recommend Chiang Mai to any visitor to Thailand and loved Le Meridien!
