“Great location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

Located within walking distance of the night market and has a great view from the pool. The room was just average and the food/drinks were pricey, so be sure to eat and drink elsewhere. Be careful of slight annoyances like advertising happy hour beer specials but not stocking the beer actually on special...forcing you to pay full price. View from the room was nice.

This must be the best value Le Meridien hotel that I have stayed in. Hotels in Chiang Mai tend to be cheap and plentiful, which I guess is the reason for this.

The hotel is easy to find, service is friendly and room are reasonable. The italian restaurant on the first floor is great.

Recently stayed 4 nights at the Le Meridien Chiang Mai, Thailand.
I have lived in Thailand for 6 years......this is one of the best hotels in Chiang Mai. Also one of the MOST EXPENSIVE. Nightly rates for a regular room can average 3700.-6200. thai baht (115-186USD) per night. You should ask for the best rate bce you are NOT A TOURIST. You can say that you currently are a resident of Thailand then your rate per night will be around 3200thb.
Location is good....walking distance to restr., shopping, coffee, McDonalds, Burger King, massage shops (many) and night life for ALL tastes. Everynight there is a shopping bazaar on ChanKlan Road for you to enjoy.
The room service is excellent......prices are fair, portons are good size and tasteful. Selection is limited and delivered within 30 minutes.
Check-in is friendly and fast if they did not have a bus tour prior to your arrival.
Laundry service is OVER-PRICED and quality is poor.
Remember, when you are in Thailand it is OK to BARGAIN.....Asian people expect you to do this bce EVERYTHING in Asia has two (2) prices........one (1) for the locals and a much higher one for foreigners.....duh !
I would recommend this hotel for your stay in Chiang Mai !!!

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for a quiet room facing the mountain view.

The room was awesome with reasonable price. The services were great. I especially enjoyed the delicious brekkie. Most importantly, most of the staffs speak good English. Besides, the night market is just across the street; they have good bargains.

This hotel has some major issues. first of all, it took me and my co-workers (who are SPG platinum) at least 20 minutes to check in. they had no sense of urgency and didn't seem to understand the systems they were using. when my co-worker needed to switch rooms she asked that they not shut off her key to her old room right away so she could get her suitcase but of course, they did, and she could not get in. when i asked to change money at the front desk they said they didn't have any money. the italian restaurant did not have a single bottle of cold white wine and didn't seem to understand that it needed to be cold and brought out bottle after bottle of warm wine. the rooms are nice and the location of the hotel is good if you want to be near the action of the town but i had no hot water and felt like they need to hire a good english speaking manager to take over for awhile to help train the staff.

I've been staying at the Le Meridien CM for the past week and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff are very friendly and helpful doing their best to make sure that you're taken care of. Being a SPG Platinum member, the club lounge for breakfast and evening appetizers/drinks is a nice way to start/end the day. Great stay and plan to stay here on my next trip to CM.

We went for a congress. The room (1211) is huge and clean. The bathroom is also huge. There is bathtub and a shower. The bed is very confortable. There is everything you need for ironing your clothes. The concierge and all the staff are very pleasant, efficients.
The breakfast is amazing, you should take the poached eggs with salmon ( OMG). We eat at lunch time and the dinner was very excellent.
I recommend this hotel.
The bad point is internet access which is only available during 1hour for free per day.You have to enter a login and password given at the lobby. After one hour, you have to ask for another login and password or pay for access go one day.
