“Perfect base for exploring Chiang Mai and beyond!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

The five nights at this luxury hotel were fantastic. Perfect location in Chiang Mai's Old City, within walking distance of a number of great restaurants and the river. The hotel is modern, yet classic and has a exculsive feel about it. Staff are welcoming and always smiling! The 24 hour breakfast option is a real bonus and we found the food in the hotel to be tasty and cooked to perfection. The only down side, was the lack of sunshine round the pool due to the courtyard of the building, but with so much to do in Chiang Mai and the surrounding area, you don't have much time to relax! Amazing atmosphere on New Year's Eve - one of the best we've enjoyed!

The street outside is frenetic with motorbikes, taxis and tourists, a calm pond with a large stepping stone takes you into a darkly wooden but open entry area and the street noises calm. The staff are always helpful, the rooms spacious and comfortable and the location in the old city of Chiang Mai perfect for exploring. Being there on a Sunday means the night market is on the doorstep. Gorgeous hotel!

I couldn't say enough great things about this hotel. Firstly, it is located 20 minutes from the airport so travel time is fairly minimal. When you walk in, you are greeted by two lovely staff members (ours were Kat and Bali) and they not only ask you what tea you would like but also give you a selection of soaps to chose from for your room. The rooms are quiet and nicely secluded from the main street, of which the hotel is located. The entire hotel is set up in a tranquil, Thai manor with french doors leading to the silk tuffet on the large balcony, open breezy hallways, and a trail of pools so you can hear running water throughout the hotel. While everything in Thailand seems quite small at times, the rooms are very large with fluffy towels, spacious bathroom, and ample room for all the gifts and handicrafts you will undoubtedly buy in the neighboring markets. The BEST part about the hotel is the staff. Kat and Bali recommended and booked 3 outstanding tours for us to do during our stay. We had an absolute blast! They even prepared us for each trip with tips on appropriate attire, weather conditions, and general cost. What makes this place such a great stay are the personal touches; the greetings down to putting bananas in my room because they knew I liked them. My mom and I had a great stay, a definite win in my book!

Room Tip: All the rooms are about similar size

Lovely oasis of calm in the middle of the busy city of Chiang Mai. We stayed in two rooms on two different stays. Both rooms were equally well appointed with the same options, including an iPod and radio. When we stayed on the 3rd floor (4th floor for our North American friends) and did not find a lift/elevator. The room does has an odd step when walking from the bedroom to bathroom. Could not figure out the reason for this. Breakfast was good and the staff provided the good service you expect from a nice hotel in Thailand.

The city of Chiang Mai did not impress us too much, but everyone has their own tastes. This hotel would also be acceptable for someone traveling on busienss.

Boutique hotel with lovely entrance lobby and stylish design throughout. Cool, calm oasis in the middle of the old city. Extremely helpful staff. Good and very flexible restaurant. Only small criticism would be that the pool area and the outlook from the rooms is attractive but slightly small when the hotel is full.

This is a beautiful, clean, stylish boutique hotel with real attention to detail. The staff were incredibly friendly, even by Thai standards - really warm and genuine - from the staff in the restaurant to those at reception. Aside from the beautiful room and surroundings, the staff helped us plan for a number of trips without pushing any particular organization and actually helped us save money and get discounts in ways we were not aware were possible.
The food in the restaurant was probably the best we found in Chiang Mai. Outstanding.
If Sam is still working in the restaurant, please send him our best wishes!
All in all we cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Beautiful thai sober decoration, amazing atmosphere, beautiful details as the vintage telephone and the iPod with a good music selection in every room. All made in fine materials, the hotel architecture is beautiful and the black tiles swimming pool is a plus. The hotel spa has the best thai massage I had in Chiang Mai. The spa atmosphere is also very sober and relaxing. The breakfast is really good, with a variety of fruits and cooked eggs. The staff is very gentle and efficient, and their uniforms are impeccable. Free bikes for guests. Its location is also a plus, opposite side of Wat Chedi Luang, a historical site. Definitely recommended.
