Description: Arcobaleno, a beautiful word, means rainbow in Italian. This word has inspired us to create the slogan of our restaurant as “The Color of Taste”.The Color of Taste is representing to our variety of authentic Italian recipes that we serve through our warm, comfortable, and lovely atmosphere. We are proudly using our original recipes even though we have moved from an original location, Babelon, located in front of Chiang Mai University. An antique wooden house in the large garden was transformed into Arcobaleno, the lovely Italian restaurant with plenty of parking spaces. This place is decorated with the inspiration of clean, comfortable, and relaxed impression that you will perceive as very much feeling like eating at your lovely home. In addition, you will be able to enjoy your meal either inside the building or outside, surrounded with a peaceful garden. The yellow wall inside the restaurant has been decorated with the pictures of our big Chef Renato Magni, who is the head of this family own restaurant. He has invented his own Italian food recipes for more than thirty years together with his Italian cuisine experience in many countries around the world. The sample menu features a page of signature dishes; beef and salmon carpaccio, along with Riso pilaf primavera, Italian’ rice with fresh or Risotto Nero, Italian’ rice the squid ink. The second page is all kind of appetizer such as Crab meat Au Gartin, the most popular dish. Gambiri alla Salas di Creama, shrimo and mushroom combination in wine sauce, which is serve with smooth and creamy mashed potatoes. The mixed salad is only sixty baht, or we would recommend you to try our always delicious Capreses Salad, a tomato salad with parmesan cheese and olive oil served with homemade Italian dressing. The third page contains soup and vegetarian dishes, all kind of soup is only sixty baht, and we are also serving specialty menus for our vegetarian offerings. The Gnocchi mal fatti, gnocchi is mixed with spinach ricotta, parmesan, and mozzarella cheeses, is served with a choice of cream sauce or tomato/herb sauce. Our vegetarian pastas are priced at 130-160 baht. Our main meat dishes are included choices of chicken, duck, beef, veal, pork, fish, and frog. The grilled pork chops, served with a mushroom, wine sauce, and fresh steamed vegetables, is one of our specialties that you should not miss it.Our must-try homemade ice cream is served at thirty five baht per serving. We do have variety of choices you can choose such as Black Prune ice cream, Ginger with honey, and all kind of fruits ice cream, depended on the fruit season. Tiramisu cake, which is serve with a generous dollop of whipped cream. The secret of our deliciousness is the fresh seasoning and the use of our organic raw Italian materials such as tomato, basil, rosemary, and parsley. These materials are grown by us in our plentiful backyard. This explanation is why our food is very fresh, organic, and delicious as well as we are differentiated from others. If you love and think of Italian food, we always welcome you to Arcobaleno, “The Color of Taste”.Arcobaleno Italian Restaurant open daily at 11:00AM-2:00PM for lunch, and 5:30PM-10:00PM for dinner. Plenty of parking spaces!

“A must when in Chiang Mai”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

For the last five years, Arcobaleno has been a special restaurant that we wouldn't miss in Chiang Mai. Every time we dine there, it is the same excellent quality from their "mista" salad to the warm rolls to the delicious entrees, and the special prune ice cream for dessert. The service is excellent, the water is cold and free and refilled as needed. The restaurant is set back from the road so it is peaceful and relaxing. I love the shrimp and mushrooms in a delicious sauce served with mashed potatoes. You won't go wrong dining here. It is a bit pricey but worth it.

“Italian lunch with friends”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013 via mobile

It has been 2 years since we visited this restaurant which is just slightly off the main track. Food remains very good. We had some house white & our 3 lunch selections were all of a seafood nature. I ordered Crab Linguine, my wife enjoyed the Home Made Fettuccine with Salmon & Cream Sauce. Our local friend decided very quickly on a baked dish of crab I believe which she scooped onto the buns provided. It looked wonderful and both of ours were very enjoyable. A definite return sometime in the future.

“Unique italian restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013 via mobile

The restaurant is developed from old house, not so many decorations but the food is good and unique. Our favourite dishes are baby clam (oven baked clam with garlic and butter, nice to take with homemade bread), stirred fry homemade fettucini with mussel and clam in olive oil (homemade pasta is not shown on the menu), knocci (spinach ball) in tomato sauce, crab meat au gratin, and grilled porkchop. Anyway, do order their homemade ice cream, some are seasonal such as durian, smell is not strong but tasty. Ginger flavor also nice.

“Italian (with ambiance)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

After reading the mixed reviews, my boyfriend and I decided to check out this seemingly quaint Italian Restaurant. I am SO glad we did! Arcobaleno is tucked away from the street in a house that's been turned into a restaurant, making this spot quite cozy! Not only is the restaurant very inviting, the food and staff are also wonderful! They had an amazing selection of wine too! If you're looking for a break from Thai Cuisine and the hustle and bustle of Chiang Mai, I highly recommend Arcobaleno.
