“Awesome 850 meter zip line! What a RUSH!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2011

You MUST try this attraction out when you are in Chiang Mai! The whole course/platform is truly amazing! The zipping through the jungle is super AWESOME!!! This is a good get away from the busy city life; You really fell that you are one with nature. The staff are friendly and funny; they are very professional too. I even heard & saw the gibbons! I really enjoy the activity and will recommend to everyone! Two thumbs up!!!

“Quite an Experience!”

I must admit I have wanted to zip line for quite awhile. I finally booked a trip while in Chiang Mai and I was more than thrilled. Not only did we zip line, but we also had an authentic Northern Thailand lunch by the river with authentic music playing. We also took a hike to a beautiful waterfall. The zip line guides were funny, courteous and helpful. We met a family from the UK and had a very memorable day.

“Thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it!! What an adventure!”

I have to say, I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews. I have never been zip lining before so I was a little nervous already. Then I read about how the staff likes to "mess with you". I was a little worried.
Okay. The staff does mess with you a little, but it is all in good fun. They are certainly not mean about it. Our guide was wonderful and a blast to be with. We had a 14yr old and a 10yr old with us. Both boys. They LOVED it!
There is a little bit of hiking involved (really just a little). I didn't see that posted anywhere and it seemed like a few other people in our group didn't know that either so I thought I would mention it.
The staff is very safety conscious the whole time too so I always felt safe. They were also kind enough to offer to take our cameras and take pictures for us. I have to say I would definitely do it again!

Dear tabigasuki08,

Thanks for joining us! You mentioned in your review that you did not know there would be any hiking involved, even if it was just a short distance. We thought this was a good point, so we're editing our profile to mention the walk at the beginning into the rain forest. Thank you for the recommendation, and we hope to see you again!

Very best,

“Rock the Gibbon - Highly Recommended”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2011

My wife, sister-in-law and I had a great time doing the all inclusive “Rock the Gibbon” package including a normal 1 day climbing excursion with CMRCA, a home stay in a tiny remote village, and 1 day Flight of the Gibbon Zip-lining adventure. Everything was fun, safe, and everything went smoothly. All of our expectations were exceeded. We felt we got excellent value for the cost and were treated with professionalism throughout. The home stay was just a short drive from the climbing site and just 2 minutes away from the zip-line starting point which was especially nice since we could relax in the morning instead of waking up super early to make the drive from Chiang Mai like we would otherwise need to do. This package saved us time, money, and gave us experiences we would not have had by booking it differently. Highly recommended

“The highlight of our Trip!! Fun for the whole family.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2011

I knew that I wanted to do this but was afraid it would be a little pricey for a family of 5 since it was 2999 BHT per person. But during the rainy season we got it for 2600 BHT each which helped. It was so worth it!! Better than any Disney world day.

We were picked up at our hotel a little late. We were supposed to be picked up at 6:45 am but they never showed. We called twice and they finally picked us up at 8:15 which put us more than an hour behind. We found out later that another couple at our hotel had booked to go on the same time as us but canceled because of an injury so apparently our family got canceled as well. That was a bummer. There was an hours drive and the van was super nice so we basically just slept the whole way there.

After getting there, we were given a snack of bananas with mashed rice in Banana leaves which was perfect to hold us over. We were suited up in our gear (told to go to the restrooms no ~*going* in the forest with the wild animals there~ and off we went. Our guides were Cash and Mr. B. Being late sure did make it worth it because these two guides kept our family laughing the whole time. Of course you are freaking out from being up so high AND we saw an actual Gibbon from the very beginning. This Gibbon continued to hollar for us for a while.
The views and the rainforest is just gorgeous. The quality of the zipline is just genius and always changing. You feel a little like Swiss family Robinson with all the bridges and stairways, always being hooked on for safety. Eventually you get braver and zip with ~no hands~ . A couple of times I missed my mark and ended up in the middle of the zip line and had to be retrieved by Cash our guide. He was so funny. We laughed for 3 hours. I am so glad we did this adventure, We are home now and still can not believe there is something that incredible, exciting, beautiful and adventuresome all rolled into one. Do It!!!
