“Rock the Gibbon - Highly Recommended”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2011

My wife, sister-in-law and I had a great time doing the all inclusive “Rock the Gibbon” package including a normal 1 day climbing excursion with CMRCA, a home stay in a tiny remote village, and 1 day Flight of the Gibbon Zip-lining adventure. Everything was fun, safe, and everything went smoothly. All of our expectations were exceeded. We felt we got excellent value for the cost and were treated with professionalism throughout. The home stay was just a short drive from the climbing site and just 2 minutes away from the zip-line starting point which was especially nice since we could relax in the morning instead of waking up super early to make the drive from Chiang Mai like we would otherwise need to do. This package saved us time, money, and gave us experiences we would not have had by booking it differently. Highly recommended

“The highlight of our Trip!! Fun for the whole family.”

I knew that I wanted to do this but was afraid it would be a little pricey for a family of 5 since it was 2999 BHT per person. But during the rainy season we got it for 2600 BHT each which helped. It was so worth it!! Better than any Disney world day.

We were picked up at our hotel a little late. We were supposed to be picked up at 6:45 am but they never showed. We called twice and they finally picked us up at 8:15 which put us more than an hour behind. We found out later that another couple at our hotel had booked to go on the same time as us but canceled because of an injury so apparently our family got canceled as well. That was a bummer. There was an hours drive and the van was super nice so we basically just slept the whole way there.

After getting there, we were given a snack of bananas with mashed rice in Banana leaves which was perfect to hold us over. We were suited up in our gear (told to go to the restrooms no ~*going* in the forest with the wild animals there~ and off we went. Our guides were Cash and Mr. B. Being late sure did make it worth it because these two guides kept our family laughing the whole time. Of course you are freaking out from being up so high AND we saw an actual Gibbon from the very beginning. This Gibbon continued to hollar for us for a while.
The views and the rainforest is just gorgeous. The quality of the zipline is just genius and always changing. You feel a little like Swiss family Robinson with all the bridges and stairways, always being hooked on for safety. Eventually you get braver and zip with ~no hands~ . A couple of times I missed my mark and ended up in the middle of the zip line and had to be retrieved by Cash our guide. He was so funny. We laughed for 3 hours. I am so glad we did this adventure, We are home now and still can not believe there is something that incredible, exciting, beautiful and adventuresome all rolled into one. Do It!!!

“A memory of a lifetime”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2011

I did a few things in Chiang Mai, using Trip Advisor for recommendations. It's amazing if you can have high expectations, and they will be met. I applaud their professionalism.
I am a traveler on a budget and it was definitely worth the money!

“Flying through the Forest”

We made a booking 1 month in advance. Unfortunately, on the day itself, no one came to pick us up. On our part, we should have reminded them abt our booking a few days before. Nevertheless, Flight of Gibbon was quick to reschedule us for another package in the afternoon. Kudos to them for rescuing the situation quickly.

We had great fun with the various versions of ziplining (single, dual, superman) and absailing. Even the hanging bridges were interesting too. It also helped that our guides were entertaining. They played some pranks and crack some jokes throughout the trip. They help take great photos and videos too.

After ziplining, we had our lunch. We were a bit fussy abt whether the meat is halal. Since they didnt have seafood, we went vegetarian. Nevertheless, lunch was filling. Food was great!!!

The trip ended with a visit to a waterfall. Be prepared to venture on your own. We didnt really go all the way to the top cuz we didnt know when it will end and the stairs are steep. Just took some photos at several nice spots before heading back.

“Awesome, amazing & unforgettable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2011

"Flight of the gibbon" is an amazing experience!!! You fly through the jungle attached to ziplines approximately 50 meters above the ground. It is an awesome - and in the beginning also a bit frightening - feeling hanging above ground right in the jungle. We also got to see the gibbons and got a quite close look which was perfect. We definitely recommend doing it despite the fact that it is a bit pricey - you won't regret doing it (unless you're really scared of hights) !!
