Description: AUTHENTIC FRENCH CUISINEOpened since August 2006 and recently relocated in the lobby of the distinguished Athénée Tower, amidst the vibrant, easily accessible neighbourhood of Ploenchit and Wireless, Le Beaulieu is the culmination of acclaimed chef Hervé Frerard’s culinary expertise. Le Beaulieu is a fine French restaurant serving convivial, made-to-be-shared and delicious food in a casual, yet cozy, setting. From premium Fines de Claire oysters to the humble bouillabaisse, roasted Bresse chicken, homemade pâtés or côte de boeuf, chef Hervé meticulously brings out the detail and simplicity of his food by highlighting the quality produce sourced from France, Europe, Thailand and around the world. The desserts provide an appropriate denouement to a lovely meal including: last-minute cooked soufflé, slow-cooked nectarines, crème brûlée and baked apple tarte. Every dish has been refined to bring out the rich flavors and textures of the fine ingredients used.

“Excellent lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2014

What a great find in Bangkok! We met some friends here for lunch and had an extremely good meal in the conservatory area. The room had a great atmosphere, the staff were friendly and attentive and the price is excellent for their fixed menu. The food was superb!!! I very rarely like all 3 meals from a set menu - but this you could not fault. Well recommended and would definitely go back for more.

“Extraordinary!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2014

Went there for a light, late night meal at Le Bar and was treated to Tempura Frogs Legs that were a small slice of heaven and an exceptional octopus salad - tart and firm. The service was good, the atmosphere glamorous but more relaxed than the main restaurant. The perfect place for a late evening bite.

“Excellent food but not attentive service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2014

The food is excellent, the wine-list is fantastic, and if you go for their lunch set menus you even get good quality food for a fair price. Even, if this sounds like five points worth of rating, but the lack of service values it down to only three points. Because at a restaurant of this class you would expect high quality service … which wasn't the case at all. It is worth going there for the good food, but do not expect attentive service. Especially not suitable, if you have important business lunches or dinners!

I have been to this restaurant twice on the past months; both occasions with a good friend and colleague. He knows the chef, and he recommended me to come. He was right !!!! Food to die for. Thumbs up !!! Ps: not cheap..... But in life what is cheap ?????

“its all about food - chef - and feelings”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2014

all the reviews I am reading for this place could have some bits of truth.... food is expensive, yes. decor could be better... sure. wine list is a bit limited.... reality. But going to Herve's place... is an experience. you need to try to forget the normal rules... and enter into the Chef's ones. he probably air all the ingredients from France. I once questioned the chicken was too expensive, and he told me it was just imported from Normandie, and treated in a particular way, ..... so, we should actually try to visit his restaurant, with an attitude as if we were going to watch a soccer match of Argentina when Maradona was playing.... he could have played bad the whole game, but suddenly that particular moment would turn the game into history. same here...... some plates could be good but average if compared with price/quality of other restaurants.... but then it arrives the dish that will make you forgetting about everything.... previous plates, price, decor, wine list....... this is Herve. take it or leave it. love him or hate him.
i do love him
