Bad service at checkin gave me a bad first impression that didn't improve !! The rooms very small for the price with no fridge and with small bathroom !!
Found better hotel the next day !!
Recommend travelers to look around for better deal !!

I moved to this hotel to get away from the noisy hotel on Rambuttri Road. I booked a single room ensuite for 600 Bath, at the same price you could go to Rambuttri village which has also a swimming pool, but this was full. So maybe it is a bit overpriced for what it offer. The room was ok, air-con worked fine, and bathroom was ok although in need of some update. The only two problems with this hotel were the room too small and ants everywhere. I told at reception to spray the whole room, but this worked only for a bit. The room was a bit dirty, a fresh coat of paint will do. Also, unless you told me they do not clean the room everyday! not great service on this. Wifi is ok, but they ask 1000 bath deposit for a key deposit which was left at reception everyday. At least I got a room at the back of the hotel so it was quiter.

Good location, great price! Happy house is a nice place for travellers on a budget. We came there without reservation two times - 1st time we stayed in an old room and the 2nd a new one.
All the rooms are very small, some do not have outside windows. The 1st, old room, was very small and had old damaged furniture and old pipes in the bathroom. When we entered the room it was not clean but after getting down to the reception and reporting it, they cleaned the room in 10 minutes. This room was very basic, no TV, little window and no area where you could leave your backpack without falling over it bit it had its Bangkok charms.
The 2nd time, the new room was great! Everything was new, we even had a french balcony and we were more than satisfied especially when comparing to the price.
Many things nearby and a great are in the font area where you could meet backpackers and get all the info you need.
I would recommend this place and when I come back, I will most probably stay here again...

Hard to find. Staff was less than helpful. Room consisted of a bed and bathroom, nothing more. No hot water. Air con did not work. Room was stuffy and seemed clean enough although there were layers of dirt and grime caked into the floor and walls. No wifi. Overpriced restaurant. Would not recommend.

I stayed in the standard double room here. It was very clean and the aircon was good and quiet.
The staff here were friendly and very helpful. The location is really good, located on a nice small lane which is quiet at night, but only a two min walk from the Khao San road area!
If you want a cheap, clean and pleasant place to stay in Bangkok this one will do the job!

We´ve been there twice several weeks ago. The location is perfect to explore the Khao San area but it´s nice surrounding and qiet. The rooms are quite clean (the second one we had was not so clean, the first one was). Cockroaches were included, at least at our second stay. But I guess you can´t get rid of them when you travel Thailand..... The pricing is a little too high for what you get. The staff at the desk was friendly. Good Coffee in their restaurant.

We have stayed here for 5 nights in March 2012 and had a good stay. We paid 800 baht per night, which is ok for a room with TV, aircon, hot water and wifi in the room. Room are not that big but the bed is really good. The location is good. Just 5 minutes walk from Khao San Road. The rooms on the front side might be a little bit noisy at night but in the rooms in the back you are not bothered by street noise.
The personnel in the restaurant could be a bit friendlier but the food is good. Personnel behind the reception are really friendly and helpful.

All in all a good choice if you are on a budget but not that thight.
