I've actually been here a few times before.
Came at 10pm on a Friday night, place was busy with locals but I was able to get a table for two in an air conditioned room.
- Crab Curry (Must try). A whole crab /w egg and curry. So good.
- Seafood fried rice. Very good
- Tom Yang Kung with Shimrp. Amazing, complex and rich flavors. a Little spicy and sour.
- Morning Glory. Not so great
Overall the bill was only $30, amazing value.
What I like about it is the ease of getting to is. Just go to the Chong Nongsi BTS. and it's at the bottom of it, look for the old coca cola sign.
Also I like recommending this to my traveling friends. I guess their rival is Somboon seafood, and taxi drives LOVE taking them to "fake" somboon restaurants or telling them that Somboon's closed. With Lek jsut tell the taxi driver to take you to the Chong Nongsi BTS...no scams, no hustles
Service was pretty good. You'll be fine if you can only speak English. If there was a downside it would porbably be that the restaurant is not as clean or nice looking as some others. But I come here for great food. Don't really care about fancy decor or table decorations.
