Stayed for 3 nights / 4 days literally... in this wonderful hotel. From the time that I checked in on the ground floor and ushered by the front desk personel to the 23rd Floor, never had I imagined that I will not be touching the ground level for the full duration of my stay.
Room is at 34th, Breakfast 24th, Lobby Cafe 23rd, Conference 22nd, Lunch/Dinner 7th, Foot Massage 3rd and Groceries 7th.
Whether you are on business or holidaying trips, this hotel could never being better. The comfortability, location, cleanliness, great designer rooms, quietness and peaceful environments are just fantastic to relieve and welcome you from a hard day's work or sight seeing trips.
Its central locations offered unlimited shopiing malls and eating places that caters for all catogories of budgets.
Rooms are of good size but the most notable attraction have to be the bathroom, with its famous round bath tub and good pressured rain shower. A visit to the Sky bar is a must, as the view from 54th-56th Floor Roof top, is just fantastic.

Room Tip: Higher Floors offer better view of the city.

We stayed here in early July with 2 young children (4 & 7 yo) in a Deluxe Family Room - 2 double beds, divan, desk, chair and TV, but surprisingly, no DVD player allocated to this level of room. This wasn't a major problem as we had wireless internet, but a little disappointing. The amazingly spacious bathroom had a separate bath, shower - both huge and plenty of storage.

The staff were amazing from the moment we stepped out of the taxi. Check-in was exceedingly smooth, and any requests were accommodated with ease. The main pool is fantastic, but has a depth of 140cm throughout. A smaller children's pool - in a different location - has a depth of 90cm. Pool staff were most attentive and towels were very large and readily available. Plenty of deck chairs around the pool. Fully equipped gym with great staff, once again.

As many other reviewers have stated, a visit to the Red Sky Bar is a must.

Interesting points:
Taxis were very cheap. Consider using a taxi rather the BTS as it was much cheaper for us. A trip from the Grand Palace to Centara was under 80 baht by taxi. Compared to BTS and ferry - 74 baht per adult and 34 baht per child (didn't have to pay for our kids on the ferry). Although, the ferry was a great way to get to the Grand Palace. After we realised how cheap it was to use a taxi, we didn't use trains again.

Lumphini Park is worth a visit to escape the noise and business of the streets. There is a lake with paddle boats (40 baht for 30 minutes), playground, gym, grass(!) and a variety of groups exercising depending on the time of day. Just beware individuals spruiking their massage abilities!!!

A short walk from the hotel over the canal to the corner of Ratchaprasong Intersection and Phetchaburi Rd is a maze of markets and food stalls. We, like everyone else, went to MBK market which was great, however, we investigated the view of the market stalls out of our window on our last day and realised it had a lot to offer, and was a much more interesting experience of markets than MBK. Well worth a look.

All the shopping malls close by are the same as shopping malls everywhere, but the food court on level 7 of Central World was fantastic for lunch and dinners. Such variety, and so cheap, and an easy venue to access if you have kids.

We had an amazing stay and wouldn't hesitate to return. Many thanks to the great staff.

Arriving by car and then accessing parking to enter the Hotel was no without some frustration and difficulty. We ended up in the basement as that is where security told us to park only to discover there is no lift from that floor to take us and the luggage to the 23rd floor where reception is located. After checking in we had a welcome drink and went to the room. The room was nice with an extra large bathroom with large bath and rain shower which was great. The room itself is small but okay for a short stay.
For drinks we tried the Red Sky bar on the 55th floor, with great views over parts of Bangkok. Once again limited space to sit as the outside area was wet from recent rain. We sat at the bar until we were moved outside. The furniture is not that comfortable so finished our drinks and headed for to one of their restaurants called The World. We had the buffet which was a good spread of meats, seafood, Asian fare and more.......the highlight being the deserts with beautiful pastries, and cakes. After a good sleep we headed down to the cafe for breakfast only again to see those beautiful French pastries, baguettes cakes. Meeting the French Head Chef was a delight as he explained his passion to us. Overall a nice place with a few shortcomings but relaxing with good staff and pleasant surroundings.

Location of the the hotel is very centralized, located inside the Central World Mall. However, the roads area always jammed around this area. Walkable distance to Siam paragon and easy access to trains. Takes about 10min walk to the skytrain.

Nice view from the hotel rooms and the toilet is huge. Staff is polite, breakfast is average.

Comfortable 3 nights stay.

Please take an estimation of at least 3 hours before your departure time to the airport due to the jam, especially during evening time.

Room Tip: Stay at high floors for a good room view.

We came to bangkok regularly for leisure & business. We stayed in many reputable hotels in bangkok and Centara central world is our favourite hotel in term of its location & service. The staffs were friendly & I would like to givd the compliment to one of the staff there, Ms Saranporn. She was very helpful & attentive to our requisitions.
This hotel is worth for money & we would come back again.

Centara Grand at Central World is a great hotel with excellent service! The staffs are very friendly and helpful. Whenever you see them, they are always smiling. The room is spacious, the bed is very comfortable and the toilet is cool! Super love it. ^-^

The location is good too. Few minutes walk to Central World and less than 15 minutes walk to Platinum Mall. Another good thing is, it is near to BTS too. You can also walk to Siam Paragon, Siam Center and Siam Square.

We stayed here for a couple of nights when we first arrived in Thailand. It is situated in a great spot right near Siam centre which is full of shops. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the room was great. The only problem was the the water leaked out of the shower and onto the floor.
