We had been to Bangkok twice recently and on the most recent occasion were only there for one night. We decided that we had to try Vertigo and take advantage of the incredible views from 61 floors up. First thing we noted was the absolute incredible views Vertigo and MoonBar offer of Bangkok. Dinner was fairly good, however the food, and wine in particular, were incredibly expensive. More than you'd expect to pay in Western cities. Expect to fork out 2,200 Baht ($74 USD) just for a steak and up to 6,000 Baht ($200 USD) for a bottle of pretty standard wine.
The service was ok, friendly staff, but a few issues with our orders. When we were leaving we were asked to fill out a survey which we did. Obviously our waiter read it quickly as he chased after us to offer a free cocktail at the bar as our survey mentioned we weren't completely satisfied with the service. We gratefully accepted, and two of our party ordered a glass of champagne (usually $47 or 1,400 Baht). Unfortunately the champagne was completely flat. To the bar staff credit they noticed this before we mentioned it and got a new glass.
In summary: amazing views that you will more than pay for, good food however no Thai food on offer and fairly good service.
