I grabbed a promotion rate from accorhotels.com, which cost me SGD 65 (including 17% taxes) for a superior room per night. The rate is unbeatable low. Here is my good and bad opinion:

The Bad:
- room is relatively small
- long waiting time for check-in
- bed bug ??
- location
- each room limited for 2 bottle of "free" water
- distance between the lobby and guest room's elevator is quite far
- is a bit far from the nearest BTS (Victory Monument)

The Good:
- luxury lobby
- hotel crews is courtesy in general
- comfortable slipper
- nice atmosphere
- free Tuk-tuk shuttle is provided

The Pullman Bangkok King Power was the perfect hotel at which to begin my solo SE Asian adventure. Having arrived at BKK after 24 hours of flying from NYC, I was met by the hotel car service with a warm welcome. I was a bit delirious and anxious from the flights, so having such a kind car and check-in staff really helped to calm me.

The room and bathroom was gorgeous and spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. The fitness center was adequate, but the pool was world class--loved it. The free breakfast offered great variety and above average food. I can't comment much on the location because I don't know Bangkok that well, but the hotel was good enough for me in terms of being surrounded by interesting shops, street vendors/food, and markets to explore.

We stayed 2 nights at the Pullman prior to catching connections to and from our 7 night stay at Krabi. We are Accor Advantage Plus members and took advantage of the 3 Day Accor Asia Sale to secure our bookings - they were a steal!
We love this hotel. It is still quite new and is very modern. From the time you roll up outside in the taxi, the service is exceptional. Check-in was smooth, efficient and quite relaxing and we felt treated like royalty.
We stayed in a Deluxe room and we were not disappointed. It was very luxurious and well appointed and the bed was very comfy. Bathroom was immaculate and everything was clean and tidy.
We used our Advantage Plus card to maximum advantage, and had buffet breakfast on both legs of our trip at this place. Amazing! We have stayed in many Accor branded hotels in our time (moreso in Australia), and this buffet breakfast one one of the better ones!
The pool is fantastic and was brilliant after a day's shopping - relaxing with a drink in hand! We probably didn't get to experience all the hotel had to offer as we spent most of our time shopping or sightseeing around Bangkok.
The hotel is not right in the thick of the Bangkok action but we liked that. We took advantage fo the hotel's tuk tuk service to the station and went shopping twice - once to MBK (which my wife adored), and the other was Paragon.
There is a 7/11 nearby if you want to stock up on goodies (cheaper than hotel) but there is not the restaurant choices you woudl get elsewhere in Bangkok nearby.
In any case, we highly recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Bangkok, and even mkore so if you don't necessarily want to stay right in the thick of the Bangkok "craziness" as my wife put it.
If and when we return to Bangkok, we will surely return.

True, this hotel has what it offers, but it doesn't exactly live up to the 5-stars hotel in terms of services.
Firstly, we've asked for upgrade to executive suite, as we've done so many times in hotels in bangkok, and 99.9% of the time if they have an extra room, they do offer a free upgrade or with a very reasonable rate (likeUS$20/night).

The staff said there are rooms available but cost about 900bhat a night, and we say we'll think about it. about 10 mins later, we decided to do the upgrade since there's a good review on it. The previous staff wasn't there anymore, another staff helped me, she said it cost $1,400bhat/night. I told her what the other staff said, she replied that it was a wrong rate, it should be 1,400bhat... I told her that it's really unprofessional for a hotel to change the price just in 10 mins. She kept on continued saying they are doing some remodeling work at the executive lounge and how i can't use it until a few days later anyways so there's no need to upgrade. It's not very pleasant when you travel to bangkok, seems like everyone on the street is trying to rip you, even the hotel staff...

The decor and environment is very nice. very modern hotel. it's a pleasant to stay. however, the service is very inconsistent. One day, they will give you complimentary snacks in your room, the next day they won't. One day, they will put your bathrobe inside the closet, next day, they will put in right next to the toilet. It's the little things that doesn't live up to standard.

The breakfast is actually NOT THAT GOOD. I mean it has wide variety of food, but they pre-made everything, and food gets cold. Ingredient is not that high quality. I have had better breakfast in a 3 star hotel in Beijing, considering Pullman is a chain. The worst thing is while you are still eating at 9:55, they started to collect food, the way they handle the food I'm not going to command, it's not that hygiene if you are talking in U.S terms. but at least don't do it in front of the guests while they're still eating. And they will not let you know how long you still have for breakfast, not even the hostess, so we basically have like 30 seconds to get our food. I don't think this is the kind of service you'd expect from an international hotel.

We stayed at the king power pullman hotel. We chose this location mainly because it was a bit more quieter than some areas of bangkok without the sleze.

We didn't know what to expect, as booked online and never been to bangkok. We booked this based on tripadvisor. We were not disappointed.

The hotel itself is amazing, large lobby, three restaurants, couple of bars. The rooms were great, spacious and massive beds. The pool is great with a bar and happy hour every day. Staff are friendly and very helpful.

When we staffed there we had a friend from another hotel visit us. He previously had a camera stolen and asked where police station was. The security not only told them where it was, they even drove them there to help translate. Pretty amazing considering they weren't even staying.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.
