The Pullman Bangkok King Power is another new hotel in the Bangkok metropolis to have adopted a post-modernist decor. However, this is balanced with subtle Thai sensibilities, functional considerations, and professional service.

The club-level room has everything a business traveler could ask for and more. There is an immediate sense of space with its floor-to-ceiling windows. In-room amenities are plentiful, but the smartest feature must be its wardrobe, which opens on the back-end to the spacious bathroom.

The capaciousness extends to the open spaces of the hotel, such as the lobby and the pool. The pool in particular features a small grass lawn, where guests can lay out the towel for a tan (just make sure to apply a generous dose of sun block as the equator sun is relentless).

There are a number of dinning options within the hotel which seem to be reasonably priced. Else, a complimentary hotel tuk-tuk brings guests to the nearby Victory Monument BTS. The gym is small, but adequately equipped.

We have just completed a three night stay at The Pullman. We have travelled to Bangkok many times and we have agreed that this is our new favourite hotel. The service was friendly but professional, the rooms are perfectly sized, and have absolutely everything you need. We did not eat in the restaurants, but we ordered room service on our first night and it was adequate. The pool area is really beautiful, and a very nice place to relax. For the price ( We paid AU$100 for a deluxe room) we really were very impressed.

There are two skytrains within a 5 minute walk, and Siam Square is only two stops down. The fabulous JJ markets is also only four stops away, so although you are out of the manic tourist areas, everything is incredibly accessible. Our favourite drinking spot, The Blue Saxophone, is also only a five minute walk away. A must do if you like Jazz!

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, and could not fault this great new hotel. I wish them every success and hope they keep up the good work!

I stayed in Pullman Bangkok in january 2008 for two times. The first time I lived in deluxe room, and executive lounge. The exeptionnal context of Pullman made me completely forget the difficulties of Bangkok. This hotel is conveniently located in the town. The way is modern but warm and quiet. The bar is very beatiful with a lot of good wishky. The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff are very friendly. The room is luxurius and zen. The bath room is very nice and all is new and clean. The lunch and the breakfast are clean and delicius. You have so choise that you can't be on a diet !! The second time I lived in executive room. It's bigger, you have two TV, one in the bed room and one in the lounge. It's an aparment. The style is the same and it was realy a dream with my girl friend. I stayed in Twin Towers before but Pullman is realy better and if i come back in Bangkok, i will stay in Pullman. I advise this hotel unreservedly. I liked.

Wowww. That was the word I used several times when I stayed in this hotel beginning of December. I had seen the website, but still. The hotel was so new, that even the taxidriver could not find it. But when I arrived. Wowwwwww. The doormen where very nice, helped me quickly and brought me to the incheck desk. The checkin was done very quickl .and I think I received the card for the 22nd floor. Arriving at the elevator (with the beautiful designed lights) I could not find the button for the 22nd floor. It was floor V. As the hotel was very fully booked, they had upgraded me. What an experience. I have seen many hotels in my lifetime, but this suite was...Wowwwww. I took many pictures, but no need to enclose, as more TA's already put some pictures of the rooms etc. . I even didn't want to sleep, because I just wanted to enjoy the room. However I had to eat soemthing and went to the restaurant. Again Wowwwwww. It was a buffet. What a choice. Wowwww.
From the buffet I enclosed a picture. In this restaurant was the breakfast too. But before I used a welcome drink in the bar. Again Wowww. The architect did a very good job. Everything was in harmony. Ok it is modern, but very, very well choosen materials and furniture. Every detail was perfect. The next morning it was Wowwww again. The buffetbreakfast was fantastic. So many choices (see also my pictures), that you didn't know where to start. The swimmingpool was an attraction itself, but that you can see from other TA's pictures, and the fitnesroom was great too. I will definitely stay again in this hotel whenever I am in Bangkok. And I want to thank the staff for all there help. Wowwwwwwww

Just had occasion to stay at this brand new hotel for the first time. It's only been open a matter of weeks and still smells new! The location is near Victory Monument in Bangkok, but has good access to the BTS Skytrain, which can then take you to the main shopping areas.

The hotel is super modern and has a very fresh & funky feel to it. For a new hotel, the service was especially good. The rooms are a good size & spacious, with flat screen LCD TV, great bathroom (large) with separate shower.

WiFi & LAN available in rooms & WiFi in public areas. Free for 1 - 3 hours per day, depending on room category, but then access becomes a little pricey.

Excellent breakfast (included) but didn't get the chance to try out restaurants at other times.

Only criticisms would be a strange arrangement of sliding doors on the closets, which take a bit of getting used to, as depending on direction you open them, access to drawers & room safe is limited. Also, requests to get hotel SMTP outgoing email server address (hotel blocked my regular outgoing mail server) met with blank stares & promises to find out, but nothing ever happened.

No doubt this is going to be a very popular hotel & right now they have introductory pricing, so is fantastic value for money.

  • Liked — Great sized rooms & funky decor
  • Disliked — Have to put room key card in a slot to activate electricity, but slot far away from door, so door closed & dark when trying to find key slot!
