“Not impressive at all”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2012

3 nights stay from Thursday to Sunday.

** Hammer and Drill
Woke me up on Saturday morning and I had to call 3 times the reception before someone ended it.
3 hours later renovation work was resumed and I had to call again.
>>> I can understand renovation work needs to be done from time to time in the hotel, the least They could do is to INFORM their clients ahead !

** TV
TV was out of service on Saturday morning - The program selection is really very poor compared to similar hotels.

** Wifi
Out of service on Saturday morning too, I had to use roaming services from my phone instead.

** Bathroom / Jacuzzi
Well the design is great but the Jacuzzi definitely lacks of power, a few bubbles is the only thing I could get out from it..

** General Hotel atmosphere
Although "Privacy" seems to be the key concept in this hotel, does not mean the hotel should not have a soul - I was left with the impression of an empty hotel and it really feels a bit sad.

5- Room Service
Was efficient and would have been perfect if the staff did not forget knife and fork to eat my carbonara pasta .. Food was great though !

I am not impressed by my stay @ Maduzi.

Dear Sir,

We would like to take this opportunity to apology for your unsatisfactory stay at Maduzi. We would like to inform you that all of the comments that cause the problem for you on the hour of the event has all been scrutinized and rectified by our management team.
- Hammering and renovation - We must apologized that the problem was truly emergency and at the time the maintenance made the mistake by not informing the management before trying their best to stop the sudden water pipe burst. We had stop the water main for the floor above your room and the leak did not stop so to stop flooding they had to get in under the Jacuzzi in a hurry to tape up the joint. It was truly an emergency event and this kind of event has never happened to us previously because our hotel is only 3 years old. Our solution of how to manage such emergency has now been issued to the maintenance team in hope that the problem you have faced will not occur again.
- Per your comments on the room service because it happens all at the same time as the internet was down and TV was down as well as the broken pipe joint the staff in question had forgotten to set up the room service table probably and they all now have been given an extra training on crisis management. In addition, your comments about the portion of the room service menu have also been rectify by our chef with the new design of the dish.
- The internet and the TV was running on the same cable by the same provider, True. They did not inform us that they are fixing the cable on that day and they have sent us the apologetic letter even though this is an excuse we would like to let you know that now we have set up the internet back up system using the phone line and next week we will add another line of a different internet provider to make sure that if one company fail to deliver the service the system will not be down at the hotel. For the TV we are still looking for options as the Satellite TV provider has informed us yesterday they cannot find the signal as our building is blocked by high rise buildings. We hope that we can find a back up for TV if the cable system fail soonest.

We are pleased to inform all of our customers that we never take lightly your comments and we are thriving to find solution to meet every customers needs. The problems that had occur on that Saturday morning was all happen within 1 hour and it was one of the few crisis we have faced so far since open Maduzi. We must apologize for the freak series of the event that was beyond our control. Lesson has been learnt and everything that we think is under our control we have now come up with the solution to better serve our customers. Even though all of the problems cannot be fixed in that 1 hour of the event we hope that by explaining all of the solutions we have provided here will soothes your anger and next time when you are visiting Thailand please visit and inspect our hotel.

Yours Sincerely,
Koravic Bhanubandh

stayed here overnight before cathching a flight the next day. When i arrived i was greeted by the manager (who along with the whole staff have excellent english) she herself showed us to our room which was out of this world, we recieved complimentary drinks and the staff refused tips when i offered which is unheard of in thailand :) the hotel is situated close to everything you need e.g skytube, restaurants, bars etc. next time i travel to Bangkok i will be looking no further than the Maduzi hotel and their friendly staff, Thanks again ( From Ireland).

Room Tip: any room :)

This is so far the best hotel i have stayed in. Clean and good quality everywhere and the food is excelent and reasonable priced.

Its a expensive hotel, but worth every singel THB. I really love thats its small and private, some might find it to quite but this is what i like and the staff are not high so, just a very relaxing atmosphere.

The rooms are very nice and love there bathtop, actually it was one of the resons why i chosed this hotel in the beginning but now there are so many other reasons to come back - Loved there free minibar and the great coffee that you could make your self in the room.

Anyway - To keep it short, great hotel, great food, great location and not at least great rooms.

We have stayed at Ma DU ZI hotel for 3 nights from the 20, 21 and 22 April 2012. We have chosen the hotel from Mr. and Mrs Smith webpage and as usual the choice was excellent! The hotel location is excellent, 2 min walk to the exchange tower and then you can take the sky train to go anywhere you want.
The hotel is in center of Bangkok and in the same time it is very quiet.
We had problems with the AC noise when we arrived but the team were very professional and they changed our room the second day.
They have a very good a la carte breakfast.
khun Arisara was very helpful to us during our stay , Thank you
I would advise the hotel team to change the AC; otherwise all is excellent and amazing
Good luck to the MA DU ZI Team.
I will recommend my friend visiting Bangkok to stay at MA DUZI 

Room Tip: Try to stay at the M level and not on the main road side as there is a weird noise coming from the A...

Loved it, all staff were really friendly and helpful. We have booked in again to finish our trip there even though it means leaving the island paradise of Koh Tao early!

Also the biggest bed I've ever slept in! Shame there was no pool but the bath is big enough for a swim!

Only downside was that no taxis or tuk tuks had any idea where it was so make sure you have the hotel address or a map to hand.

We stumbled onto this hotel when our other favorites were booked for Chinese New Year. After staying twice now, It is now my favorite refuge in Bangkok. Service in Bangkok is pretty good everywhere, but here there is a very personal approach which is comforting. There are always free coffees and a complimentary drinks at the bar. The mini bar in the room is also complimentary, and each room is equipped with an espresso machine. The 'living room' is chic and cozy, and available to watch tv or movies. Breakfast is served anytime you get up, and is delicious. The rooms are modern, efficient, and comfortable..The only criticism I can muster is that the shower heads don't give a strong stream of water. Overall, I highly recommend it!

Room Tip: Try and get a room on the back side of hotel.

I have been to Bangkok several times and have stayed at quite a few different hotels in and around the city and I have to say that this one takes the cake hands down. From the moment I emailed the hotel to the moment I checked out I felt that the service was second to none. The hotel itself is fitted out with the most unique furniture and fittings that I have ever seen. The downstairs lounge is well appointed with bang and Olufsen TV and hi fi system with large comfortable chairs for reading or relaxing and with the free wi-fi thoughout the hotel it is a perfect place to escape the craziness of Bangkok.

We stayed in the corner 63 suite which was appointed with comfortable Eames chairs, Bose home theatre system and massive California king sized bed which gave me probably the best sleep I have ever had. The room had a huge bathroom with jacuzzi bath (not a hokey I-spa either it is a bath like you have never seen).

As far as location you couldn't ask for more. It is located a 2 minute walk for Asoke sky train station which will get you to most places in the city and is also well placed for caching taxis and other forms of transport.

All in all this is an amazing hotel and I would highly recommend it to anyone going to Bangkok, A+.
