My lover and I spent two nights there in April. Even though the location of the resort is a bit far from the city (about 25 minutes from Siam), it is a clean, nice, new and friendly resort.
BIG BONUS: There is a jacuzzi in each room.

Despite listening to the reviews on Trip Advisor about this hotel, we ended up paying a lot of extra money to taxis on the 2 occasions we tried to find the hotel as taxis seem to have no idea where it is. We paid for a deluxe room which was only about £21 but were really disappointed by the lack of light, the only window being covered with a fixed wooden blind at the end of the bathroom, the plastic covered mattress on the bed, no minibar when so far from shops and the lack of a swimming pool, which we thought was quite clearly advertised on the website. Perhaps the rooms in the main hotel were better but we were down a side path which had an open gate to the street, which didn't feel quite safe from possible intruders. We were only staying one night as an airport stopover but it took 45 mins to get to the airport so it's hardly an airport hotel. Next time we will pay the extra and stay at the hotel by the airport. Took the shine off our great holiday.

If you're an expat or a Bangkok-weary farang, this place is a MUST - it's not that far from the city (depending on traffic - take the tollways), and is in Bangkapi, far from the noise and pollution of Siam city centre. All the rooms are beautifully designed, with private jacuzzis in every room, and private swimming pools in the suites! The rates are very reasonable, we stayed in a gorgeous deluxe room for Bht1750. The hotel manager Jo was wonderful and helpful, always available. Service was impeccable (except for 1 annoying night manager), the hotel is clean and well maintained. Print a map before going - the taxi drivers don't have a clue where this place is. Mention Bangkapi, then Klonjan, then attempt to say Soi Yothin Pattana. At the start of this soi there's also a lovely small coffee house (with chocolate that is NOT ovaltine), and beside it is a relatively new Spa (the name is totally in Thai but it's called Ra Da). The manager speaks English and they offer very cheap massages and spa facilities. It's a wonderful place too!
Head to Siam Society for some quiet, romantic time together, and go to Ra Da Spa in the day (the hotel will recommend a much more expensive spa to farangs but check out this one at the end of the soi yourself, you won't regret it).

Siam Society Hotel is a clean, quiet contemporary Thai style accommodation with dark teak furniture and a raised spa bath and trendy decor. We loved our room and found the staff to be friendly and polite.
The hotel is perfect for stop overs as it is near the airport. I wouldn't recommend longer stays as the city is quite a drive from the hotel.
Nice place and well priced with free breakfast.

This is a low-rise, medium-sized, nicely-decorated, cosy, clean hotel with good and friendly service. The manager speaks very good english and is very helpful. There is no pool or gym but every room comes with a bathtub with jacuzzi. Bed was comfortable and there is a mini buffet spread for breakfast, with real thai orange juice. I really like the calming effect of the pond in the middle of the hotel, which you can see from the floor to ceiling glass window of the lobby.
The price was very reasonable. The only problem is that the hotel is kind of in the middle of nowhere - if you're a shophaholic like me. You have to take the cab to go to the nearest suburban mall or to the nearby tesco-lotus hypermart, where there are some eateries. (there are plenty of cabs around) But you don't want to shop, you can always walk to the restaurants nearby - 3 to 5 mins walk to a seafood place or a cool one with alfresco dining. If you choose this place, remember to tell the cab driver to take you to Bangkapi - the hotel is only a half hour drive from the airport. Or risk having the driver take you to siam city hotel, like mine did. I ended spending more than an hour in the cab and paying double the fare.
