“Jaw Dropping Performance”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2014

Siam Niramit is a MUST see when you visit Thailand be it that you are in Bangkok or Phuket. It is advisable that you arrive at least an hour earlier so you could roam around the village where they demonstrate traditional crafts, local food, music. You can see different styles of Thai houses/buildings, There was a comical magician to keep you company and then traditional dance which was interactive before the main show starts. Make sure you eat your buffet dinner before the main show because it will last until past 10pm. (that is if you bought a ticket that is inclusive of buffet dinner).

The main show was held inside their huge, air-conditioned theater where you will witness the history of Thailand. Their props was just amazing its like you are watching it in 3D, the lightning and thunder effects was just unbelievable! and then suddenly there was water on stage where one of the cast washed his face and then dove in it, then klongs paddling on their mini river! Whoa! Live elephants, goats and chicken and live participation from the audience, so you wont be bored. This was one of the most impressive show I watched by far.

Kudos to the cast and crew of Siam Niramit. :)

“Classic Thailand”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2014

You can reach Siam Niramit by using the MRT (Thailand Cultural Centre station, followed by a shuttle bus or a 15 minute walk). The experience includes a Thai buffet dinner and the chance to wander around a small Thai-style village where people demonstrate the making of traditional crafts, foods, music etc. You can see different styles of Thai houses/buildings, and even paddle a boat around a small pond. Just before the main show starts, there is an outdoor performance.

The main show is inside a huge, air-conditioned theatre and consists of a series of short "snapshots" showing the culture, traditions and lifestyles of various parts of Thailand. The costumes, dancers, sound and lighting are impressive, but don't expect a "story". The performance lasts for 90 minutes and ends with demonstrations of some of the main Thai festivals such as Songkran and Loy Krathong (yes, there is water on the stage but you won't get wet!). In addition to live animals on stage (elephants and goats), there are several points where audience participation is involved.

This is a great night out for people visiting Thailand and is suitable for all ages, with the exception of a slightly scary scene in the main performance which depicts sinners being punished in Hell!

There are elephants in the general area which can be fed and even ridden. However, I would advise against riding the elephants as animal welfare organisations claim that elephants' backs are not made to support the weight of the seats used.

“Best show ever semen!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2014

A must while visiting Bangkok! It is a uñí que show experience not to be missed not only because of the colorful and diverse thai costumes and traditions displayed throughout the show, but also for the magnificent technology used in rodee to recreate the atmospheres. Great buffet of traditional thai food biforme the show, highly recommended! The price, a bit high, was nevertheless worthwhile.
