“Funky decor, but average otherwise”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2013 via mobile

The location is perfect - MBK and the train line are a 5 minute stroll. As non smokers we were surprised to be put on a smoking level, but were moved when we asked. The food was OK, large selection for breakfast. The service was OK, not the best I've seen around...this was my second trip to Bangkok and had heard good things about this hotel.
The pool and bar was OK as well ... The best service we saw here was from the company booking in our tours - its very handy to have them available within the hotel. Rooms are a good size with the basics at hand.
Overall the rooftop bar and location were the best things about this hotel.

Great hotel. Breakfast is excellent. MBK just up the road and National Stadium sky train is also just up the road with just 1 stop after Siam interchange for a short walk to platinum. The food and drinks are over priced and happy hour times can be lost in translation. Just down the road is Tesco Lotus which has a food court which is cheap and some cheaper options for dinner. Tesco is also very cheap for alcohol, food, toiletries etc.
A late check out @ 2pm if the place isn't full with access to a shower if leaving on the midnight flight. Just having that option is worth the money. Rooms are clean and normal hotel size.

Room Tip: Corner rooms have great views

I stayed at Siam@Siam in february 2013 for three nights. The room was fine, clean and comfortable. It had a fabulous view over Bangkok and I'll admit to being happy just sitting and looking out the window :)
Breakfast was good - there was so much to choose from! The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the people on the travel desk had lots of suggestions for sight seeing. The hotel has a luxury spa so I indulged in a bit of pampering. More expensive than the street level spas but quiet, clean and very relaxing.

It was an easy train trip from the airport and about 100m or so from National Stadium station. Close to big shiny shopping malls for those who are into gadget and clothes, but if you head away from the MBK in a couple of minutes you can find yourself in a local market and can take a walk along a canal.

The infinity pool is great but be warned - after about 11am the pool area is full to the brim with chain smoking europeans. No where to sit or put your towel. But if you go to the pool at 6am it is cool and deserted and very pleasant. There is a roof top bar well worth a visit, even just to see the Blade Runner lights of Bangkok at night.

Excellently located across the road from MBK mall, and around the corner, about 2kms, from Platinum Mall and Pratunam Market. Right at National Stadium Station and very short walk from Siam Station. Taxi fare from Phaya Thai Station to Hotel is about 60-100 Baht, depending on traffic and time of day.
Hotel rooms very spacious and large clean bathrooms. We had a triple room and felt very comfortable in our room. Breakfasts excellent, with a very large variety of foods. pool area also good, but not quite enough recliners, although many chairs. Staff very helpful and friendly.

The overwhelming majority of good reviews for this hotel really say it all. This is a well priced (for it's location and what you get), clean and friendly hotel which has easy access to shopping (mall style and markets), sightseeing and eating precincts in Bangkok. The hotel staff are happy to organise anything for you - they happily arranged a driver and van for 8 of us for a day of sightseeing at an almost ridiculous rate and organising taxis etc was no problem at all. The rooms are large, clean and spacious and have wifi. The pool is to die for and the roof top bar has stunning views of Bangkok and great cocktails. Breakfast is included in your room rate and provides an expansive selection covering all tastes each morning. Small (and very minor) negatives were that you had to sit where seated at breakfast, rather than just being able to take a seat where you might prefer in the dining room (we were 'told' in a not so friendly manner on one morning that we could not sit in a particular area of the dining room) and the rooms are not sound proof (I could hear the folks in the next room quite clearly). But these were minor negatives overall and they certainly wouldn't stop me from staying here again.

Fantastic. Really cool decor. Amazing buffet breakfast - the best I have ever had with awesome selection and chefs on standby to cook you eggs the way you like. Very clean. Great location too - right near all the major shopping centres and a cheap taxi ride away to the temples and china town.

My stay here was AMAZING! Everything in this hotel was 10/10. I would gladly come back to Siam@Siam! So close to the infamous MBK shopping centre, 5mins walk to the Aquarium and the staff were always helpful if we ever needed anything. Thank you for the pleasant stay :)
