“When there is no room!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

The hotel is situated in a small street with no nearby main road for hang around or shopping! Transport facility like BTS is far away. Yes it is economical...... The staff is not as cooperative as the other in Bangkok or Thailand. Tea/Coffee, water/juice available 24/7....

Not good for couple planning honeymoon!

Dear our customers

Please kindly be informed that we are located in the center of Bangkok, 5 min. by taxi to all main shopping area Siam, Siam Paragon, MBK, Pratunam and Platinam Mall. One minute walk to 7-11 and our local market. We always recommend our customer to take taxi meter which is less than 60THB to the main shopping area sir. If you walk to the main shopping area, it will take 15 min. walk and the price paying for sky train would be not much different than taking a taxi.

Firstly, the location is terribly wrong, and horribly awful for listed hotel. At night, streets are 60-70% in darkness until you reach the big roads in front Skytrain station and Asia hotel and you have to take a 12 mins walk through dirty narrow and dark streets.Though this not hotel fault, but be warned all the nice things said about good and central location of this hotel.

On my first night stay, they gave me the worst possible standard room for $B1300 which i paid through my agent. Never take the ground floor, they are your worst nightmare.

Looking for food? Nothing edible within 2 mile radius unless you love pork chops Thai style or any noodle with pork ingredient or maybe fried crawlies and nutritius black insects.

For service, I rate it 4 of 10, for professionalism 2 of 10. Breakfast? 2 of 10. So before you book your next hotel, read customers' reviews. Many regrets staying in this hotel. Never again!

Footnote: Why do they allow the unofficial public taxi driver to tout inside the hotel premises and even allow him handle guests? This was why I rated hotel professionalism extremely low.

Room Tip: Go for the top floors, above the 2nd. Refuse to accept the ground floor rooms.

Dear Our customers

Thank you for your comment. Please kindly be informed that there might be some kind of misunderstanding on your side. We would like to clarify as followed.
1. Our hotel has two bell boy and one driver for transfer service which all of them are our staffs member and hire from the hotel. We are hotel for 90 rooms not a big hotel. Therefore, all of our staff are trained to do mulit-task to serve the best for our customers. The person you mentioned was not the outside taxi sir.
2. Our hotel always serve all our customers to feel like home. We offer toy, candy to customers children , and fruits to our customers. We treat our customers like our family. Therefore, it might not as professional as you would like to be.
3. Location: our location is situated in the center area where less than 5 min by taxi to MBK, Siam Center, Siam Paragon, Platinam Mall, and Pratunam. It can't be any center than this sir. We do understand the problem you have with the narrow road but we also seek your generous understanding that our hotel is in Bangkok where the street and area would be as common as you see in many area inside Bangkok. It is not dangerous where there are many shops open 24 hours and getting a taxi is easy.

Looking forward to receive your kind understanding and hope some misunderstanding has been clarify.

When we arrived at the hotel we realised it was in the middle of no where, but were happy to receive a free upgrade for our two night stay. The room we got upgraded too was quite nice- not amazing but for Bangkok it was good. The menu wasn't very appetising so we went out for some food, as we walked around the neighbourhood we realised everyone was staying at us. We were refused service from every we stopped in - not even told 'no', just flatly ignored. We tried to get a tuk tuk to a restaurant - the drivers tried to take several hundred BHT off us (having been in thailand for a month, we weren't idiots), so we walked off only to be followed by several of the drivers and their friends who got quite aggressive. We actually ended up going back to the hotel from fear and got room service which was as unappetising as first imagined.
Over all our stay was horrible because of the location. We were made very unwelcome on both nights so it was not just a one off, and I would not recommend this hotel.
Also to put a downer on the situation, we booked the hotel through ITAT who charged us three times what the room actually cost.

Ok, I am going to make it simple, just don't go over there.

Here is the customer experience we had when we stay over there a month ago (Feb 2013).

1) We are a young couple and book online our reservation. I took the time to send a email to the hotel to inform them that we were in HONEYMOON. So we ask if they could make it special! (yeah and they did ... the wrong way !!!)

2) When we arrive It did not look like the pictures, but hey, I told myself it's always a little bit different from the picture, isn't it.

3) So we pay for the upcoming three nights and get our room. Exhausted because of an 11 hours ride departing from Cambodia. Took a shower and looking for a good night of sleep.
Instead my wife that check the bed find bed bugs (see picture) just before we turn the light off.

4) We repack luggage, military speed, get down to the front desk and ask them a refund.
Now for those who are not aware, when and hotel get bed bugs it's usually the hole bed room floor that get It because it gets everywhere (clothes, hair, sheets, and of course carpet floor). So even if you get room upgrade just don't take change to bring friends home, ok (and that's were the real fun beginnings). We knew it wasn't us that brought those because the were babies so it was the mats.

5) Here is the catch ? They check the room found bed bug, but did not want to refund us claiming that ?? the room has been used ?? Way to go pals for the service. We had to fight, not argue, fight for 1h15, to get a partial refund of our money.

6) Then we had to found another hotel at 1:00am in Bangkok walking with our luggage in the neighborhood. So we finally got a room at 2:00am and wash our clothes to make sure that we weren't bringing those home (in case some jumped in).

So conclusion, we just want to avoid this to other travelers so just don't go over there.

The Hotel it's good for does who are not looking for luxury... it's not all that what it seems in the pictures, but it's was ok. rooms are confortble but the most of them have a bad outside view, the bathrooms are too small...
The location its good,m it's about 10 min from the train station and 20 min walking distance from MBK...

The hotel is situated at the end of the street (the start of the street is where Rachathewi BTS station and Asia Hotel is situated at, a few metres in is the very beautiful and new Siam Swana Hotel). Be prepared to walk about 10minutes straight down this street.

You will find massage places and drinking places at the first portion of this street, mainly near the before-mentioned 2 hotels. I would recommend the more beautiful massage place off this street (turn to the right side corner after passing by Siam Swana Hotel), the price is the same (200 THB) as the other massage places on the main street, but the service quality and massage is better.

I love the side street with foodcarts and local businesses before reaching the hotel, the food selection changes every day, the cut fruits cart is always there, a lady selling BBQ chicken sticks and thai mango/papaya salad (note that this can be really spicy!), an old lady selling really delicious soup(very chinese style with fish maw and stuff), try the food on sticks that you can choose from squid to meatballs to faux crabsticks that they will slightly BBQ and bag it with sweet or spicy sauce. Just take-away the food and eat at the hotel eating area!

Would recommend this hotel if you do not mind walking more, if you want to have easy access to food and convenience stores, and most importantly for me, a decent, cheap hotel that provides complimentary breakfast!
