“Nice place but less than professional staff”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2013 via mobile

I am currently staying at this hotel in Bangkok and an incident this afternoon has prompted me to write this review.

I had been out of my room all morning, shopping and at the pool etc. when I came back to my room the cleaning staff were in the room completing their regular duties. However one member of staff was in my bathroom standing in front of the mirror using my eyeliner! That is so unhygienic and not to mention so unprofessional. She saw me come into the room and just continued to apply the eyeliner and then just casually throws it back into my make up bag. Needless to say this eyeliner has just gone in the trash. It was brand new from the Siam Centre across the street too. So not cheap.

Aside from this incident, the place is nice. Well maintained and clean. The only other issue I have is with the bathroom toilet, it doesn't flush properly. Very thai style...

This would have been a five star review if it weren't for the whole eyeliner thing.

The staff spoke English and were very friendly. Very pleased to help you in any way. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Breakfast was excellent catered for everyone. Staff always greeted you with respect every time you came in and very helpful to help you with where you were going.will definetly stay there when we go back to bangkok. Close to MBK and train stations.

Room Tip: Ask for a junior suite. We were very lucky to get upgraded on arrival

We booked this hotel on the recommendation of someone at hotels.com for 2 nights. The hotel is situated next to a skytrain station perfect for exploring Bangkok. We stayed in one of the Junior suites and the room was spacious clean with a goodsized bed. The staff at the reception however friendly did seem to have some issues with communication. We arrived with quite a bit of luggage and we needed a big taxi to go to the airport. We specifically asked for a big taxi the day before and were told that no booking would be needed.
Of course the next morning when we needed to leave we could get no taxi, however Thai resourcefullness made it possible for our luggage to get into the trunk be it sticking out. Minor issue tho as in the end we did get to the airport with all our luggage still in one piece.

The realtreasure is the hotelpool area, which is not as big as some of the bigger hotels is a nice quiet area and a lovely place to relax after shopping in bangkok or visiting the sights.

Our roomrate included breakfast and it was a nice breakfast.

I would definately book here again caus for the location, the rooms and the price you can't go wrong.

Stayed at the Evergreen mainly for the location near MBK. Very impressed with the friendly service (we were greeted by name as we got out of our taxi!) Breakfast good, swimming pool lovely. Rooms a good size, perhaps would benefit from a new coat of paint. Very powerful shower with plenty of hot water. All very good for the price.

We stayed at the Evergreen place in Bangkok, very nice and the service of the staff members from the guys helping with the baggage to those polite and friendly staff at the reception, there is not a thing to complain. , on the contrary, a huge thank you to all of them for making our stay a memorable one., we took 2 suites, the hotel arranged that one suite had a kitchen , the other suite had a living Room, we stayed at the 16 th floor, the view was fantastic ,. The bathroom was spotless. Breakfast was better than we could imagine, even when we went down earlier than 6 am ( breakfast starts from 6 am) , there were food already laid out and we could partake of the breakfast. The breakfast staff was very efficient and very service minded .
This hotel offers massage at a very good price, 250 baht for a foot massage and 350 baht for a body massage, they were very professional and trained, it's to be recommended, u feel like a new person.
The location of this hotel is super, just a couple of mins walk , is the famous MBK, and the wax museum is also just a couple of mins walk away, take a cab to the night market, right outside the platinum mall, costs just 40 baht. So next time I am in Bangkok., I will certainly stay at Evergreen place again, . Forgot to mention that just outside the hotel, there are street food, so delicious and fresh and costs next to nothing. Ordered 4 dishes , 3 with prawns and one whole fish , paid under 500 baht.
