“Best stay ever!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

Let me tell you a little story about 3 young girls arriving in Thailand at 11:00pm after 24hours of traveling, taking a taxi with a dude who didn't speak a word of English through Bangkok only to be driven down what looked like the sketchiest back alley ever. Thinking those moments might be our last, we finally arrived on the doorstep of the most wicked hotel in Bangkok. This place would make any NA hipster feel like they just walked through the gates of heaven. The place is oozing with character, amazing food, and is well priced. Good walking distance to Chef Leez (best cooking class ever), temples, shopping, etc. All this being said, the highlight of this hotel had to be the amazing staff, who were extremely helpful and super friendly! Enjoy your stay at this awesome oasis! Breakfast is included ;)

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your nice review : )
As you said many interesting places around here are in the walking distance, you can walk to the temple with the big standing Buddha, to the market, to the pier to visit the grand palace etc. All the staff are willing to suggest you if you have any questions.

Hope to welcome you back here again next time : )
Have a slow life.

Donald and his staff are amazing and the most helpful crew I have ever had the privilege of dealing with. I have stuffed them around no end, have to cancel and re-book my holiday on two separate occasions due to family illness. No problem for Donald, who happily altered and re-altered my booking and also recommended accommodation and trip advice for the rest of the country like Chang Mai. I could not speak more highly of Donald and this establishment. A++++++++ customer service.

Travel is interesting but tired. However, I'm happy that I chose the PN to be my rest place in this trip. I could always get the energy when I back to the hotel. Drank the ice tea, ate the good food, drank on the roof top bar... then, slept in my lovely room.
Travelers could always get the energy here to prepare for the trip next day!

this is a really lovely whacky hotel in a good area of bangkok for exploring main sights. (see photos for the funky retro decor). v.child friendly & helpful english-speaking staff made it easier still, & they had maps, advice etc. ( tho' beware of not allowing enough time to get to the airport if rush hour.. it was totally static for 2+ hrs mon. am & we had to drop taxi & find motorbike taxis which was a bit nerve-racking with big bags..)

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your review ^ ^ Regarding the way back home, I hope it not too dangerous for you to took the motorbike with the bags! It is good idea to spare some more time for check in at the airport, normally from here takes 1 hour to get to the airport but in the rush hour 2 hours is good.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left our experience of the Phranakorn-Nornlen Guesthouse was amazing. The staff were very attentive and the whole vibe of PN was calm and tranquil.
It was nice to receive a little handmade gift set upon check-in - great touch! There were a number of little extras, from direction cards to hand to taxi drivers to a little packed breakfast to eat en route to the airport for our early morning flight to a signature PN CD in our room!
The quirky retro-vintage decor really made the place and we've taken a few ideas for our own home!
The roof-top terrace was a delight with fabulous views over the city of Bangkok, we dined up there on our last night and the food was delicious and very reasonably priced.
We would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.
Thanks for a great stay!
Michelle & Kyle

Are you looking for alternative stay in BKK? Are you boring global standard hotels? Do you like arts and hand-crafts in lovely style? And are you interested in green and organic life style?
If "yes" you have more than 3, why not to book Phra-Nakorn Norn-Len Hotel?
Every corner of this B&B is photogenic. It's full of the delight of discovery. They have their own style. If you've seen Japanese movie "Always - Sunset on Third Street" or Thai movie "Fan chan", you can understand easily the world according to them. Artistic, nostalgic, exotic, warm feeling, girly, organic, and family friendly. Especially, food and beverages are fine.
The accommodation fee is not inexpensive for average B&B in BKK, but you can experience something out of ordinary, and probably it's priceless. Enjoy your alternative life in PN!
