“Basic but clean and good location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW via mobile

seems to get more and more basic every time I stay there so could probably do with a refurb. Certainly the "deluxe" room I stayed in didn't feel deluxe and didn't look like what they show in the photo. Always clean though and great location if you want to be in and around Koh San Road.

great place to catch your breath before travelling the rest of Asia. Pool is lovely and I really appreciated it after 28hrs travelling. Reception were NOT rude and was clean and pleasant. Would recommend due to location.

Stayed at this hotel for three nights and it would have to be the worst experience ever in 30 years of travelling. All staff were unbelievably rude to guests, you can't sleep at night because of the continual noise, breakfast buffet very unhygienic. For what you pay go pay $20 more and stay at Novotel is a much better choice. Rambuttri is also the most disgusting area of Bangkok, dirty, ugly and all restaurants of an incredibly low standard. Based on this experience I would never return to Bangkok, rude locals with even uglier people just trying to fleece tourist of their money. This hotel should pay guests to stay at their hotel, not the other way around.

Room Tip: Just don't stay here it's a truly horrible experience

The restaurant by the koi pool is nice to sit around for breakfast. I think for the price of the room, one could possibly get a nicer hotel around. Very near to khaosan and that's about it. Nothing to shout about. There are many bars and live band about. Pricey though.

I was quite dissapointed when we arrived, the receptionist was very rude and wanted 2000 BHT as a deposit (in cash). For paying by card they would charge 3% extra(!!). So we had to run around and get cash. The rooms we got were on the ground floor so there was a nasty smell. The pools on the other hand were quiet and clean. Breakfast ok, but one of the room was for some reason without it (as well as fridge). Nothing like on the promotional pictures (both here and booking.com), so to to conclude - look elsewhere, I'm sure you can get a better deal. :)

Room Tip: Request other than ground floor!

Our first guesthouse in SE-asia.

We booked a little more expensive (for our budget) guesthouse when we first arrived to SE-asia.

We had a really good experience, good start on our 4 months traveling. Pool on top, clean and fresh. Location is good, near khaosan but at the same time quiet and on a great street near to everything you need.

Overall it is good and worth it. Would stay here again.
