great service, great location, we felt welcome from the first minute. The shuttle is of superb quality. The restaurants are too expensive but there is enough to choose in the neighbourhood. Prices are higher than in normal hotels but it is worht it.

A luxurius experience at jus € 113.00 per night!
I slept one night in this incredible skycraper on Bangkok riverbanks. I asked for a high-floor room and I was at the 16th with a stunning view.
The design of the hotel is simple and elegant, with a great use of silk and natural fibers.
Not to be missed: the complimentary boat service on Chao Praya river, the pool and the roof-topp bar.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor room!

We were glad to stay in the Hilton Millennium. The location on the river was enjoyable. Because of the fact the main attractions of Bangkok are just off the river as well it was convenient, too. The hotel has a courtesy ferry across the river where the river boat dock is. From there you can catch the orange-flag boats and they get you anywhere you want to go for 15 bahts (50 US cent).
Although it's not the topic here, I want to mention that the other attractions in Bangkok are not easy to get to anyway, no matter where you stay. Therefore the the river side location is the better choice in my view.
Back to the hotel. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, it should satisfy everybody. The concierge service was helpful for our needs. Check-in/check-out was smooth and efficient. We got a room in the 23rd floor that was very good. No complaints there. Free wifi was very much appreciated. The pool area in the 4th floor (called the "beach") was special. It actually had sand in one area, there were "private" whirl pools and sitting areas and a view at the river from the pool. Very unique.
We were very satisfied with the hotel.

We had a wonderful stay and celebration of our friend who turned 50 during our stay. The staff in the executive lounge were wonderful. Great breakfast. Relaxed atmosphere.

The staff on the shuttle boats were also nice and very helpful. We could have missed the shuttle back to the hotel but they saw us so we made it back on time to meet our friend who was leaving Thailand.

A great stay and no problem being on the river. The shuttle boats make it easy to reach the Sky train. It is also nice to be on the river instead of the middle of the traffic. Rather quiet in the evening, great views from the rooms.

We stayed six nights at Hilton.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

I booked an overnight stay for two adults and one child at the Millennium Hilton. We arrived on 17 March 2013 and were at the hotel at midnight. I had booked a standard room, which they call "King Hilton Deluxe". I was given a standard room 2324.

Although I had reserved a room for three persons, the baby bed was missing upon arrival. They promised to send it to the room. After waiting for ten minutes I cancelled the baby bed. We wanted to sleep the night, not to wait the slow bed delivery.

The stay was disappointing. I have Gold status with Hilton, but they did not upgrade the room. I doublechecked they had vacant deluxe plus and executive rooms, but they did not want to give it to me.

Room Tip: Book the room you need as you will not get upgraded

This hotel locates at river and room is clean. But i cannot recommend here with below reasons.
- location Far from center of bangkok and not easy access. taxi does not exist in Hotel and need to wait for a while since door man does not work hard. No good restaurant around Hotel.
- service Service is terriblely bad. During my one week stay, room key did not work more than ten times and elevater does not work effectively. I might use one hour totally to change key. In spite of my insisting, Hotel did not work this issue.

This was our first hotel stay on our trip to Thailand and it did not disappoint. We had arranged transportation with the hotel and I must say that after the 20+ hours of flying being picked up in a luxury air conditioned vehicle with cool towels and water was definitely worth it. Upon check-in we were asked if we wanted to upgrade to the executive level which was a higher floor and included access to the Executive lounge. This was a plus for us. We had a great view of the river from our room and the view from the lounge was spectacular.

The lounge breakfast was great! Pastries and delicious coconut and various jellies along with your choice of hot meals and specialty beverages. The food was much better here that the buffet on the main floor (we tried it once for comparison). The lounge also offers happy hour snacks and was a great place to come and unwind after a day of sight-seeing.

The rooms were a bit on the small side but were very well appointed. The beds were super comfortable (we slept 14 hours the first night!).

The spa was also lovely. The treatment was quite nice and relaxing after the treatment with tea in the lounge was very peaceful.

Compared to the other options for hotels along the river, this is a top-end hotel at a fraction of the price. It is also great for sight-seeing as you can avoid going through the main hub to get to attractions. Highly recommend!

Room Tip: Go for the executive level rooms to get access to the lounge.
