3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2012

We stayed there for 1 week for a partialy business/pleasure stay. We had a very spacious one bedroom appartment. Compared to a normal hotel room this is big, but it does feel a little outdated. Overall feeling: the hotel and rooms were clean, the breakfast (which we only had once) was good, the staff was very friendly and helpfull. But all of the above wasn't great. It did not give us a whow feeling.

As probably with every hotel that is focused on long-term visitors, the room cleaning does not happen every day. So make sure you do not expect your towels and bed linnen to be replaced every day.

The folks at reception can be a very good help in case you need a taxi to take you somewhere. They can talk to the taxi drivers in thai explaining exactly where you want to go. And they do an excellent job!

We did not make use of the restaurant in the evenings so cannot judge on this. BUT very close there is a cheap and excellent thai restaurant. They sell the best crab in Bangkok (reference from an expat) and we can confirm. We ate there 3 times in 1 week. The restaurant is located down the Langsuan road towards Lumpini park, nearly at the end of the road, just oposite to Soi 7. See my attached picture of what it looks like.

The pool on the 33th floor has a nice view, but it's missing a bar. As a tourist you prefer to enjoy a drink while you sit at the pool, no?

We did not use the Spa of the holte, but I advise you to do so. We took a foot massage in one of the small massage places down the road, but we will never do this again. The massage was painful + we felt our feet and lower legs hurt for the remaining 4 days of our holiday. So in case you want a massage, as for a gentle oil massage. And not a thai foot massage. :-)

Stayed in April during the Thai new year. Serviced apartment is always the best options when travelling with a group of friends. We have stayed in a few different serviced apartment and this one is the worst without doubt.

The room is spacious but old. Small TV with bad quality of signal, furniture is aged with bad maintenance, room is dirty with dust ...... even the basics could not be up to standard. There is a serious problem of water pressure in this hotel. All my friends' rooms experienced the same. The heated water supply is not stable. The water pressure is not stable. It made you feel annoyed when you were having shower. The incident was reported to the service team but the reply was "this is something cannot be fixed"!!!!!!!

Location is really good though. This was the reason we picked this hotel. But think about the price that this hotel is charging, we should not complaint too much. But honestly, I won;t recommend this hotel to anyone.

Really quiet place in the middle of Bangkok. Very good rooms and views. Actually the swimming pool is not really "infinity", but it's good.

We have stayed here for two nights with my wife in May, 2012. We liked this hotel. The location is very good - it's in business area of Bangkok, short walk to the BTS station. Major shopping centers are also within walking distance as well. We had a studio room on 18th floor which was quite big and comfortable. The furniture and equipment are not new but in good condition. Nice view from the room. There is a pool on roof - it's must to visit, it has fabulous view over Bangkok. People on reception were helpful and friendly. Nice restaurant with good breakfast, we had a dinner there and it was also very good.

Room Tip: ask for room on high floors

Good: Doormen are well trained
Bad:other staff, mostly very rude, especially in restaurant!

Good: bed comfortable
Bad: housekeeping was generally poor... No replacement of sheets when requested, keep taking teatowels (then to spend an hour trying to get across what a teatowel is!!!! There is no thai equivalent word apparently!)

Good:selection of food for breakfast... Or so it seems...
Bad: QUALITY OF FOOD AWFUL?!?! Beef stew, beef roast, chicken stirfries etc each and every morning (one per day) full of cuts of fat, not meat, and we were there at 7-7:30 daily soitwasnt just 'what was left'... Defiitely needs improvement. Yoghurt off and pineapple rancid... Smelt fermented not fresh....

Good:close to chidlom BTS station and access to whole city basically.

Room Tip: They dont listen to requests...

We have stayed since it opened, liked it so much then but they simply have not reinvested in it. Got the feeling they were full but there are better serviced apartments such as oakwood and marriott here.

Pros and cons:
+
Very good location and close to all major shopping (+away from seedy bkk) and set back from road
Good sized apartments with tvs in each room - 3 in ours, 2 bed
Vfm we paid about 100 usd per night=v.good
Pool not busy and great views up there and cool breeze
Breakfast good and restaurant staff friendly.

-ve
It simply doesn't feel clean anymore, we moved rooms due to cockroaches, our main bugbear if you excuse the pun
This place is in need of a renewal or at least replace stained or worn out things such as furniture and tired kitchen
Staff on reception not as attentive as before although bell staff and breakfast staff good
There are simply better places around and i wd pay 30 usd more/night to get it

But the nail in the coffin were the roaches, sorry one crawling across the bed=not coming back, yuck.

The location of this property is good - it is a short walk to Chit Lom BTS which is one stop from Siam where the big shops are. We stayed as a family in a two bedroom appartment and were a little disappointed - it was ok for one night but would not stay longer. Carpets were damp and bathrooms could have been cleaner; on a postive note, there was a fully equipped kitchen but why cook in a city where food is so cheap.

The worse thing about this hotel was the appalling buffet breakfast - aviod at all costs; selection was limited, fruits were poor quality, coffee was luke warm, pastries were stale, yes - it was that bad - the only thing that was ok were the eggs which were cooked to order!

It a city with so many alternatives, consider staying somewhere else.

Room Tip: consider staying elsewhere
