The best middle budget hotel in Bangkok. God Service, Good food and very friendly.Good connection to the main business area and the location make it easy to sleep and no main noice from the street Suriwong outside. They have a good white wine and I will recommend fried rice with screem - the best one in thailand. For breakfast they can serve you boield egg five minutes and it is also five minutes. Many times in Thailand they dont take care the egg very good but Tarntawan take care the egg in right time. You have to book in time because that this hotel is very popular.

This hotel came through again with 5* Service. I was able to check into my room at 12 Noon on arrival day. Flowers and fruit basket were waiting. A porter brought my welcome Drink straight to the Hotel Room! My package included a manicure & pedicure at Cutey & Beauty. Definitely use this offer as the staff at Cutey and Beauty are the best! The facials are also excellent. The hotel uses pool/gym facilities in a nearby club located on the 9th floor the Pool has "to die for" views of Bangkok.
I also received an in room massage in my package which was available 24/7! The massage was a complete success!
I like the security at this hotel. The rooms are fine and now have flat screened TV.

My favorite hotel in Bangkok & The Land of Smiles!

Room Tip: Don't pass up the Manager's weekly cocktail party!

Tarntawan Place is a quiet oasis in Silom. It is on a very small soi (if it's even a soi) off of Surawong. It manages to be very quiet despite being so close to all the food, markets, and nightlife. The trains are within a 10 minute walk.

Tarntawan is not part of a hotel group or chain and feels just a bit dated. However the rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly from the front desk to the elevator guard to the servers at breakfast. They do an excellent job of making you feel at home. Breakfast (served all day!) is good if you get the Thai option and there's a huge spread of very fresh fruit and juice.

A great place if you want to be near the excitement but still have a quiet place to lay your head at the end of the day.

Tarntawan Place offers quiet, discreet, well-serviced accommodation just off the bustle of Thana Surawong. Some rooms have King-plus sized beds (7' square), which I've only encountered in Thailand; if I could get one made in Sydney, I would! The hotel is about 8 minutes walk to Si Lom MRT station and Sala Daeng BTS (Skytrain). The rooms in which I stayed on two separate visits (3 nights + 2 nights) were comfortable and well-appointed and would suit couples. Breakfast includes American, Japanese and Thai options. The hotel is nanoseconds from restaurants, cafes, bars and the night-time Patpong markets. It's not a family friendly area, so don't consider Tarntawan or any other hotel in Thanon Surawong if you're taking the kids to Bangkok - this is pink-to-scarlet Bangkok, by no means representative of Bangkok, Thailand or the Thai people at large, but a lot of fun if that's what you're after on your holiday or stopover. That said, from Sala Daeng BTS it's two Skytrain stops (less than five minutes) to Siam BTS and Bangkok's biggest shopping malls, MBK, Siam Paragon and Central World, and three stops south to the river for a ferry to the Grand Palace or Wat Arun, so Tarntawan is very well situated for visits to Bangkok's tourist highlights.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a king size bed.

Stayed for a week in Tarntawan Place Hotel. The hotel is not a chain or high end hotel, but I was pleased with the room, the location and the staff were friendly and helpful. The lobby area has a restaurant and bar which serves meals the whole day. There is also a business centre and a spa. The rooms are basic with a huge bed, which was comfortable, bar fridge and drinks, a safe and nice working space and a seating area. The bathroom is probably the most dated of all features, but it was clean and the basic products were included. Overall a good stay and the price was exceptionally reasonable.

This hotel offers good value for money for short stay in Bangkok. It has free wifi and security is available 24/7. Staff is very friendly and pleasant, including the security on standby near the elevator. BTS is a short walk, cafes, restaurants and even street hawkers are all within reach. The bathroom needs a little fixing though. There was a slight problem with the shower tap. I could not turn off the tap despite turning it frantically and had to call hotel for help!

Room Tip: Higher floors tend to be quieter and offers slightly better views.

Tarntawan Place Hotel is a great little facility tucked away just off surisong street in the Silom
district of Bangkok. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Had problem with ATM on last
day of my recent visit. Unfortuantely it was a banking holiday and difficult to reach any one.
The young man on the front desk, even though he was finishing his shift, stay over about 20 mins
contacting the bank and attempting to resolve the problem. Bank staff gave him some steps for
me to take upon return to the US and they worked. U can expect this same type service from any of the staffers whether a bellboy, waiter, front desk or housemaid. Always great service with a smile. They try their best to make you feel at home. Many of the staffers have been at the hotel over 10 yrs, some 20 yrs. This is a sign of stability that you can't find in many hotels.
