“Comfortable and Great value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

I chose the apartment i was struggling to find a hotel that would accommodate us at a reasonable price. The location is good, near to Chit Lom Sky Train. There are nice restaurants within walking distance as well as an organic grocery store, wine tasting store, and jazz bar, all to cater for the local ex pat community.
The apartment is clean and comfortable with a kitchen which is really useful. Whilst the bathroom is a little shabby in parts it is clean and practical. It is normally used by business people which means that reception are not as helpful or informed when it comes to advising on restaurants etc.
The gym was a good sized as was the pool.
The breakfast was average and certainly not as good as hotel standard but was adequate for a couple of days.
I found that for the price the cape apartments offered good value for money and would return if i needed a good budget option in a good location.

i have yet to stay here ( my stay is scheduled on June 13-19) but i would like to write this review in order to counter one of the reviews here that the management is slow in responding to emails. Though the reply took three days, it may be because two of those days were weekends but they were prompt in allowing me to change my booking and upgrade my room to a one bedroom suite. i guess a little bit of patience is also required out of us customers since I think that this hotel is deluged with inquiries. I am looking forward to my stay and hope that my high expectations are met.

One thing though, in scouring all the hotels in the top 30 or so hotels in the tripadvisor ratings, this seems to be the best value for money, location wise, amenities wise, and service wise.

Spent 3 nights at these serviced apartments during March at the beginning of our holiday. It proved to be a decent base for getting around. The room was a one bedroom studio, with lounge area, kitchenette and bathroom. It was clean and comfortable with modern furnishings. View over rooftops and no noise. Business lounge with complimentary tea, coffee and light snacks al day. Buffet breakfast included was very good, with a complete choice.
Staff were typically polite and attentive.
A bit of a walk to the sky train in the heat, but ok. Cheap eats and some more expensive nearby. The attached restaurant was pricey and service was appalling, however there was a warning in the lifts that it was the night of the staff party so maybe that was the reason for getting our drinks at the end of the meal.
Al in all good value for money, handy for transport and love those brekkies

Room Tip: 604 was good

Cape House is one of those establishments that more than lives up to its reputation as an exceptional place to stay. The photos on its website are indeed true to what we experienced and we were more than happy with our decision. The 1 bedroom serviced apartment was very comfortable and had everything we could possibly want for our one week visit.

Breakfast was part of our package and we had a varied selection of both Western and Thai foods from which to choose. In addition to buffet style offerings an egg station provided made to order choices all of which were quite good. Service in the restaurant was excellent.

The lounge also served complimentary coffee, tea, sweets and pastries throughout the day and one could sit, chat or read on one of its comfortable sofas and chairs. A great place to relax and enjoy a break.

Exceptional service was not confined to the restaurant and lounge however. We were especially impressed with the Reception staff who provided friendly service which often went over and above what one might find in similar hotels.

At one point we were trying to book a tour with an online booking agency. Online information with the company was at odds with a telephone enquiry and our inability to speak the Thai language put us at a decided disadvantage. Online information indicated the tour was full while telephone information said the opposite. Complicating the matter was the company's decision to only accept payment online. We found this very frustrating as this particular tour was one of our top choices for things to do. One member of the reception staff offered to assist and she spent quite some time that day trying to resolve the issue. As a result of her intervention and persistence we were able to book the tour. Many, many thanks!

Our experience here was wonderful and it would be difficult to find fault with anything at Cape House. We were thrilled to have stayed there. Kudos to the staff and management!

Stay .... you won't be disappointed. Highly recommended.

This apartment was extremely good, I actually chose it because of all the positive feedback from this trip advisor and it didn't let down, the service was great the breakfast was outstanding and even the restaurant for evening meals was good and most of all very competitive with its pricing and the house wine was great. The room was all I thought it would be, lovely bed and having 2 TV's was very handy, it was serviced every day, which I was very impressed with. The staff were very warm and accommodating and always with a smile on their faces. I will definitely be staying there again when in Bangkok.Thank you for a very pleasant stay.

Room Tip: I would think all rooms would be good and being that it is in the heart of the city then views never...

Cape House is simply brilliant. My travel agent recommended it (yes, they do still exist and they do know what they're talking about!) and we were delighted with what we found.

The property is very similar in idea to the Residence Inns in America. Basically you get a large 1 bedroom apartment, large bedroom, large bed, large bathroom, large living area, couple of large TVs, full size refridgerator and the ultimate holiday find...a WASHING MACHINE! Quick nip out to one of the 2 local 7 Elevens for some powder & softener, and all those holiday clothes are clean and shiny once more. Brilliant!

The rooms are serviced daily just like in an ordinary hotel. Each appartment has seperate air conditioning in the bedroom & living room. Kitchen area, batroom and the halls of the property are bedecked in polished granite and everything is immaculatly clean. There is WiFi throughout the hotel, with a lovely outdoor pool, lounge area and fitness centre on the 16th floor, and a business centre and indoor lounge on the floor below that.

Just aside from reception on the ground floor is No. 43, the hotel's own Italian Bistro, also one of the top 100 restaurants in Bangkok.

The property is very near to the shopping areas of Siam Paragon, Siam Square, MBK Centre and Central World, we walked to them but quickly learned how to use the ultra efficient & air-conditioned train system. Who wants to walk in 35 degree centigrade heat, right? ;-)

Around the block from here you can find the excellent ARTUR Restaurant, if you're a foodie then you must search it out, it's on the higher price end but well worth it!

Cape House is EXCELLENT value for money, you will not regret any time spent here while exploring Bangkok. If you are a non-smoker (like me) I recommend asking in advance for a non-smoking room. I didn't do this and was initially given a smoking room, but after a quick phonecall to reception they immediately changed our room with no problem.

The staff are the perfect hosts, warm, welcoming and extremely helpful. I didn't want to leave! :-(

Room Tip: If you don't smoke, request a non-smoking room in advance
