“water ways used by water taxis”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2013

These waterways are used by water taxis - long tail boats to navigate around the city. Some are narrow - others are wider. It is a good way to see another facet of Thai life.

“Everyone should go here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013 via mobile

A great way to see Bangkok, very cheap to ride on the boats going along the klongs (rivers) a great escape, you see many sights along here, completely different to the streets. Sit back and watch river life pass you by.

Hifhly eutrophicated, filled with water lillies, dark, and still fascinating, filled with everyday life and its beauty.

“Mostly smelly”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

While there are a few very fun things you can do on a klong, like visit a floating market by speed boat (highly recommended!) they are mostly a smelly nuisance, necessitating scaling their bridges in high summer heat. I like to have bodies of water around because I find them relaxing but really most of them are redundant now and have lots of gross things floating in them. However, boating on the Chao Phraya is a different matter and I recommend that highly.
