“Snakes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

If you like snakes its well worth a visit. We went in the morning to watch the venom collecting. This was interesting as they gave a short history of the institute which is run by the Red Cross as well as why they need the venom. there is a small museum upstairs which holds snake skins, skeletons etc. We left then to et and returned later for the snake handling and photo opportunity

“Very nice!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

1. Not expensive - 200B
2. The show - breathtaking! What's going on there with the huge cobra... must see! Also the narrator is funny.
3. Photo session with the Python - included in the ticket price. Everyone gets a chance at the end of the show.
4. The educational center on the 2nd floor - very interesting things to learn.
5. Many types of snakes and really not all of them sleeping, like you're used to see in some zoo...
Bottom line: come there for couple of hours and you can also reenter.

“Interesting show.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013

It can be quite entertaining to watch the show, there are sidewinders, corbras, and a mongoose that will fight with a cobra, pythons and your will see a few pitiful rats in the enclosures as food. You might be able to feel the smooth cool texture of the snake as they go around with the snake during the show. However it makes me uneasy to see how the snake handlers are putting their life at risk at every show for the sake of entertainment. There are eating places out side the snake farm.

“Good for Kids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

The snake farm is a great place to take kids, because they'll get to see dangerous aspects of snakes in a very safe setting. The handlers are very skilled at what they do, and give educational talks about all they do. This is a recommended experience overall.
