“Regular at the Huntsman”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2014

I have been a regular at the Huntsman Pub since 1987 and throughout the years have been surprised that successive pub managers have been able to maintain the same level of standards: good food at affordable prices, staff that get to know you and are genuinely pleased each time you pitch up and a great Filipino band 'Sweet Inspiration'. The band members may have changed over the years but they still produce the same, great sound.

“Step Back to the 80's with 21st Century Prices”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2014

The Huntsman Pub, Landmark Hotel, Sukhumvit Road, Nana, Bangkok, next to Skytrain station and Pacific Place Office tower. "English" pub food. Have visited this pub at least 20 times over the years. Overall its ok but more and more the food quality is lacking and today is a good example. Shepherd's Pie was ordered, it came with a side order of french fries (seems odd considering the order is essentially potato with a side order of potato?) Not big plate size for the order considering the price charged of over $12 ++ for this dish. Lamb is expensive in Thailand but if you advertise a menu item as having lamb it should have some. This dish came with a topping of about 2 inches (50 mm) of mashed potato, under this was about 2mm of gravy/meat sauce. It was a terrible value meal essentially being a bowl of mashed potato with some gravy under it. We sent it back with request that it be cancelled from our bill. Staff offered to get a new one, but we didn't have time for a longer lunch period so just cancelled. They did come to us with complimentary coffee to apologise but ... still hungry, a lunch time wasted waiting for an anticipated pub meal that was never realised. Wont be back.
Drinks prices are ridiculous, soft drink - Coca Cola USD$4.50++ for a can, retail price is 40c so this is a ridculous mark up, more than 10 times the price in supermarket for average service is not really worth it. this place needs to rethink and its no wonder there are only 8 other customers in the pub at this time.

“Great service, good food, good atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2014

The service here is the best, we have been in Bangkok for a couple of years now and this is the place where we return to time and time again. The food is great value, everything from thai cuisine, Italian, British, American etc and there is always a Good atmosphere. If you are staying for a while in Bangkok, then I recommend that you get a landmark club card, great value and fantastic discounts. Thank you to khun Ae and all her staff for making us always feel so welcome. I definitely recommend a visit to the huntsman.

“Nice decor. food expensive but good..shame about the band”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2014

I went here two weeks ago during Songkran, Huntsman was an old favourite destination when it stocked Belgium beers. The food was very good (beef and Guiness stew and apple crumble / ice cream) but 'a little too expensive when the service and VAT charges were added.. for my liking ( I am used to Saigon Prices I guess) .. decor and service staff were impeccable.. But I am sorry there used to be a good band in there.. but an older Pinoy singer and a knock together rock band just was over poweringly awful. Too loud and not in synch with the audience who were leaving in droves... the band would be good in s Thai nightclub - but not the Huntsman please.

“Good Pub food and good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2014

After a very average experience at Gullivers across the road, a friend suggested we dine at the Huntsman.

Service was good, and the Tiger beer girls roulette game was a nice interactive touch without being to pushy. Environment was pleasant and clean.

The menu was not as extensive as Gullivars, however I did have a cottage pie (same dish as Gullivars offer), and in my opinion far superior!

Overall, nice pub meal with good service. Recommended
